Adam G
Emailed the dan@sprint.com team. Response was that there is no information to share at this timeSent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk That's what I expected. But instead of the email response I got phone call after phone call. Problem is, I get no reception in my office so I kept missing her. Eventually she emailed the info I posted.
kyle_4thousand
I'm experiencing very poor GPS performance the past few days. Anyone else have similar issues and have done anything to correct it? I can't accurately track my runs anymore

I can't accurately track my runs anymore I had the same problem using My Tracks the other night. I went to Wi-Fi advanced options and disabled scanning always on. kyle_4thousand
I had the same problem using My Tracks the other night. I went to Wi-Fi advanced options and disabled scanning always on.I checked and I already have that option disabled. I downloaded a GPS toolbox app and I saw whether or not it could get a fix on satellites. 80 percent of the time it is unable to do so, and when it does its only 4 or 5 and when I start moving it loses the fixes. Hopefully this supposed update this week fixes this as well. ughh

On past devices I've seen GPS performance vary largely with weather and season changes, so I'm chalking it up to that.
Bird_Chicago
At this point I have no idea what I am looking forward to more: actual battery life again or the Sparc update.
mikejeep
My battery life has suddenly taken a nose dive sometime in the past week. I typically wouldn't plug it in before I went to bed if it I had ~85% or more battery remaining. By the time I got up, the battery would still be nearly the same. Lately, it's losing at least 50% over the same time period, and I can't seem to figure out why. Using the phone seems to drain it a little faster, but not significantly; the idle battery drain is what I have noticed the most. Not sure what is going on, the battery stats indicate the screen is always the leader in battery usage, but I don't have any apps that turn the screen on by itself, so it shouldn't be a factor while I'm asleep. Unless I'm sleep-phoning... Still love the device, and I've solved it myself by plugging it in at bedtime. I'm guessing there was a Google Play Services update in the background that affected something, that seems to be one of the common culprits. Perhaps it's time to install one of those third-party power monitor apps I see everyone else mention. In any case, my fingers crossed for some magic to happen tomorrow.. -Mike

jonathanlc2005
I think there was a malicious purpose to the wait... the S5 and the M8 are both LTE advanced phones and so is the nexus... why release spark on an LTE advance phone when they can maximize sales on 2 LTE advance and upgrade an older one later. there isnt any lte advance service out yet... but it does offer much better speed allowance over cat 3 lte of course im just referencing this... Normally, since I don't use my phone a whole lot at work, I can get through the day and be back home with around 60% battery life left. Last few days it's been more like 15%, enough that the low battery alert pops up. And I haven't been running any strange new apps, it just reports the screen as the largest power consumer. Not sure what happened.

tybo31316
Hopefully this radio is a beast like .17 and .15 with band 41 enabled. Can't wait for this update to be available from Google or XDA.
Destroyallcubes
Well now I hope my mom can use her upgrade so i can use my N5 again. I miss the RF beast. And I bet if its anything like .15, I should be getting b26 at my house. Ill be checking the phone to see if it updates!

jeffcarp
I don't believe that this has anything to do with sales. The number of people that know/care/seek out Spark when buying a phone has to be so low as to be insignificant. kyle_4thousand
FINALLY!! So since I'm rooted and have the other bands enabled, should I revert to stock and disable the bands before the update? Or should it not matter?
