Yep, 32GB black. Ordered 11/7, has shown "Shipping by 12/3" all along; in fact, the main Google Play page still says that. Clicking "Info" does show that it has been shipped, so those of you still waiting for shipment, make sure you look at your order details and not just the summary page. Got the e-mail around 2pm this afternoon saying it was shipping. UPS had the package scanned heading out of Louisville KY 10 minutes after I received the e-mail, and it is already at the regional hub around here! I chose 2-day shipping, but unless UPS leaves it on the shelf for an extra day, I expect delivery tomorrow. Strangely enough, I haven't received the usual UPS My Choice notification I always get when a package is on its way to me, usually that arrives when the label is created. The tracking page also doesn't list a scheduled delivery date. Wondering if Google hasn't finalized their daily shipping manifest or something.

Package logistics have always interested me.. think it's amazing what the carriers are able to do.

I also haven't received my usual UPS Choice notification. Mine departed 4:55 PM KY time, so I expect it to arrive in CA sometime later tonight.

I'm unfortunately one of the last stops in the local UPS route as I always tend to get packages at 8 PM (my PS4 arrived last Friday at 8:10 PM as my most recent example), so if it does go out for delivery tomorrow, I don't expect it until around 8 PM.

Does the Nexus 5 have FM radio capability?  Anyone try using the NextRadio app to test it out on the Nexus 5?  On the Sprint smartphones site, it said that the LG G2 doesn't have FM radio capability but I verified that it indeed the FM radio function does work with the Nextradio app with my 3G/4G data connection disabled and wifi disabled.  Just used my headphones and I was good.

My package is not linked to my My Choice account at all yet, hopefully that changes tonight.. I am at the end of my driver's route as well, so I want to change it to will-call pickup. I will be home most of the day tomorrow, playing with a new phone would be more fun than anything else I had planned ;)

Calm down there Yoshi-san.  It is coming and you'll be playing with it soon enough.  I can imagine you being like the "Nintendo 64 kid" when you get your Nexus 5.

So, Not able to connect to a lot of sites on my drive tonight. And no b41. Tried all different band settings. Its not just yellow sites that im having problems with. Its completely random. Just like others have reported it shows lte for a split second(does not register in signalcheck) then falls back to ehrpd. Actually, looking at the map these are all purple sites have not had any issues with 3g/4g sites. Its only SOME sites that give me issues.

I tried everything too disabled b41, all different band priorities, restarting phone, Updating prl and profile. Sat at the base of b41 only site and did all of this too and could only get the 2 b25 sites down the road in dif directions

Market: Missouri

Device: N5

Legacy Vendor:Nortel(Ericsson)

NV Vendor:Ericsson.

Yup, its nothing on the phone, its sprint needing to upgrade those towers. Some have been upgraded since I got mine, however there are still bunches that haven't yet been upgraded.

It appears people who ordered two day delivery are getting priority ship days over people who got regular shipping, not just a quicker ship rate. Ordered on the 5 and still left with 26th ship date. Its like being able to cut in line at Disney if you paid more for the same standard ticket haha.

We I guess I'm glad I threw in the extra $6 or $8 for two day then.  I just knew that by the time if finally shipped I wouldn't be able to wait for it.  I had been contemplating canceling the 16GB Black and switching to a White version, but that probably won't help much at this point.

Thanks for helping me verify this. I guess that answers that question. Hmm I wonder why Sprint didn't flag the G2 as a FM radio capable phone. Ah well.

I just ripped the apk off my HTC one and sideloaded it on my nexus. It installs fine but when I try to play a station I get an error. "FM radio not supported on device 'nexus5' "

But does the app work with a data connection?

I have never used the app b4. It starts up no problem, when I try to play a station with no headphones in, I get a prompt to input headphones. After the headphones are inserted pressed play again, and that's when I get the error.

try tune in app, it uses data but it also guarantees consistent bitrate.

I did the 3-5 day (standard shipping).

I ordered mine on Nov 18th at 7:17 PM CST and got a email today (19th) at 7:52 PM CST with tracking number 32GB White.

Looks like by black 32GB N5 shows up Wednesday, ordered on the 4th.

Have the SIM in-hand, hopefully I won't have any major problems what with being in a good incumbent market.

Now if they would just get 800MHz LTE going around here.

Out for delivery.

Standard shipping here.

What you can do until your towers are upgraded, is set your mobile network to 3g. This will insure you still get your texts and calls on time. If you can't deal with 3g only, then I suggest you go back to using your single band phone until sprint gets around to fixing the issue.

I tried this suggestion out. So far, so good. Signal strength has improved, no missed calls yet, and battery life has improved significantly (at least 20-25% improvement). I didn't really expect this! lol! Since I'm on WiFi at home, I didn't think that switching the radio from Global/LTE to 3g would make any difference for the voice part. I was mistaken.

Hopefully, this was not just a one day placebo effect, and that it continues this way

Thanks benifactor.

According to Sprint, the G2 also lacks wifi capability. According to best buy, it has a micro SD slot. I am pretty sure according to the FBI, the G2 is also responsible for the Kennedy assassination, too.

The wifi error on the Sprint website for the G2 has been corrected awhile ago sometime before release date.  The wifi error was only discovered during the preorder period when the page first launched.

    • Kind of amazing that T-Mobile is still holding onto that speed title despite Verizon all but killing off lowband 5G on their network. While Verizon is mostly being evaluated on mmWave and C-band performance, T-Mobile and AT&T's average 5G speeds include their massive lowband 5G networks that are significantly slower.
    • 5G in the U.S. – Additional Mid-band Spectrum Driving Performance Gains T-Mobile holds on to it's lead in 5G Speed
    • Yup. Very true. We were originally on an Everything Data 1500 Plan, which got Unlimited Minutes thanks to Marcelo's "Loyalty Benefits" offer. We then switched to Unlimited Freedom (with the Free HD add-on that Sprint originally wanted $20/month per line for.... remember that?) because the pricing was better with "iPhone for Life", vs. the "Loyalty Credit" for staying on a Legacy Plan. After that, I ran the numbers and switched us over to Sprint MAX, especially for the international travel benefits. There's absolutely no reason for us to switch to Go5G Plus or Go5G Next if we're going to do BYOD by purchasing from Apple/Samsung/Google directly as we've been doing. These new plans aren't priced for current customers to switch to. They're priced for new customers, where they throw in a free line, etc. It's gone from "Uncarrier" to "Carrier". What a shame.
    • Strange business model that they keep around all these pricing plans. 1000s of plans per carrier is reportedly not uncommon.  Training customer support must be a nightmare. Even MVNOs have legacy plans. A downside of their contract mentality I guess. Best to change contracts during a recession. But then all carriers try to squeeze out legacy plan benefits as they grow old.
    • Everything "Uncarrier" is becoming "Carrier" again. Because of the Credit Limit that T-Mobile put on our account for no reason at all (and wouldn't change/update the last time I checked all the way up to the CEO), I don't plan on buying/upgrading our iPhones through T-Mobile. I'm going through Apple directly. Looks like I'll be going through Google and Samsung directly for our other lines for upgrades. Also, we're staying on Sprint Max given the ridiculous pricing for Go5G Plus. On Sprint Max, we currently pay for our Plan: $260 for 7 Voice Lines $25 for two Wearable Lines. (One is $10/Month. The other is $15/Month because the AutoPay discount only applies up to 8 lines.) Total: $285/Month vs. Go5G Plus (Per the Broadband Facts "nutrition label" on the T-Mobile Website): https://www.t-mobile.com/commerce/cell-phone-plans $360 - ($5 AutoPay Discount x 7 Voice Lines) = $325 The Watch Plans show as either $12/Month or $15/Month: https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/affordable-data-plans/smartwatches So this is about the same for the wearables as what we're paying now. Overall, it's quite more than we're paying now to switch plans. Ridiculous....
