This is very frustrating to hear. Do you think you could pm me and get me in contact with this person? I'd like to discuss this further and explore my options. I don't think anyone at sprint will understand what the true problem is as their front line force is vastly unaware. They'll think I'm nuts lol.

I'm not sure if you said this before, did you buy the phone from google or through sprint?

Then you should be able to take it to a support center and get it checked out/replaced. Especially if it is defective. At least, I would hope they would replace it.

You can have a Google phone and bring it to a service center as well. Doesn't have to be just a sprint phone. You're a sprint customer so we have to take care of you.

The only phones we're not allowed to touch are the moto x from moto maker due to not being able to replace for the colors a customer may have.

All of the meid are the same length and what not so we have no clue if it's bought from Google or not. Even if you told us it let's it slide in the system so we couldn't do anything anyways. If someone tells you different they're being lazy.

It was listed in the leaked changelog. Nobody has received the update so no way to say for sure.

Never had the data drop outs until today... Drove from northern va up to Atlantic city and I either had voice and no data or nothing at all at least 6 times. Would like to get an update before I head home since Baltimore is a spark market and I have to stop and poke around for awhile.

Apparently the 1% that initially got the update didn't include the 0.5% of the Sprint N5 users that are on here. . . Not that surprising actually when you look at those numbers.

Actually, it is surprising that if something has been released, it hasn't shown up on XDA yet. There are so many enthusiasts there that either one of them would have received it, or they know someone who did and it made it to the forums. Heck, XDA regularly gets "leaked" and "unreleased" updates. 

 

I personally think that because Sprint doesn't actually control the release of the software, there is a good chance they are wrong about the release date. They were just told a general window of time, or something, and had to spill the beans.

What are the odds of a Sprint only update that is not 4.4.3? I have an LTE Nexus 7 that is on the T-Mobile 200mb free monthly plan. I never received the update that rolled out with the VZW Nexus 7 launch. Could it be possible that the update will only roll out to devices with a Sprint SIM? If you look at the factory image page https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#hammerhead for the Nexus 7 LTE, you will see the 2 versions

You see one clearly labeled for VZW for the same model.

Doubt it. The build number on the sprint site matches with the leaks of 4.4.3 builds.

I know what the update supposedly did (the Nexus 7 LTE worked fine on VZW prior to the update) , I was more referencing the fact that the updates could be targeted to specific carriers.

I'm pretty sure it will roll out to everyone and contain all the bug fixes with also adding Spark compatibility. Phones are a little different than tablets because tablets have Wi-Fi versions and cellular connected versions.
