I had a Nexus 5 once but switched to an iPhone 5s. Needless to say i miss the Nexus 5. I switched because the signal on the Nexus 5 in my house was worse then the iPhone 5s. I wasn't sure if maybe it was a bug or not. Will the update to 4.4.3 fix this?

The nexus 5 has better signal reception than any other device out right now. You are likely hitting issues with sprints network that get covered up by devices that don't use ecsfb (iPhone) or devices that use svlte

I can personally attest to the nexus beating the 5s hands down. I also have a 5s in my household and my n5 pulls usable 3g(.5-1mb down off a legacy tower -I think lol-), or band 26 where as the 5s is essentially a brick from 10am-7pm. So the hours when our towers(I live by an interstate) are constantly loaded.

Now my wife's nexus doesn't ring on LTE. Starting to wonder if it's the network. Except when mine first started to mess up hers worked fine. This is kinda frustrating.

Tried switching back and Sprint gave me some error message on their web page. I'll try again tomorrow. For now I'm on the EVO but it is definitely no Nexus.

I have never been able to activate my N5 using the automated system on Sprint's website, but I can swap other phones just fine. Opening a chat usually takes care of it very quickly.

Same here. Other phones work great. N5 swap requires a chat.

The issue is the account, not the device.  Some of us have accounts of a certain age and/or with certain quirks that require manual intervention for phone activation.

When I first got my nexus I activated it on the web just fine. But this time it required a chat.

I remember because it takes so long for the system to recognize that the n5 was taken off, it takes 24-48 hours for it to be able to be activated online. After swapping my n5 for the g2, it still said I was using a N5 for a day or two after and wouldn't let Mr switch back withouta chat or call.

The website finally started supporting my N5 just last week. I haven't tried to swap phones but I can finally do things like add a hotspot plan without opening a chat session or calling.

Link?  I brought my USB cord with me to work today just in case.  :D

Edit: Nevermind.  Simple Google search found it.

De ja vu! Another carrier reporting the update! Does that mean we have another month and a half to wait? :-)
