I got the battery and charging cradle today in the mail. Took about 3 weeks. Pretty nice value. Next for LG is consistent updates like htc and Samsung devices.

Heh, Samsung and HTC, consistent. That's never been the case. Not even the Nexus devices are consistent with updates all the time.

I will eat crow as the g3 and g2 will be receiving lollipop. The original lg Optimus g should see it too seeing that the nexus 4 will get it. Just saying. As that is the phone my mom uses. Hehe!

Quiet around here.. Everyone still happy with their G3 purchase, except for the poor battery life?   :)

I'm loving this phone.  I have two extra batteries and don't even bother plugging my phone in ever.

Well, loving the phone, except for the compass.  GPS itself is plenty accurate, but the constant error in the compass direction makes Google Maps and many other apps that draw from compass (like Sky Map) nearly unusable.  Waze seems to work fine though, for nav.

I get 12 hours with 8 SOT, I dunno what poor battery life you had but this phone is awesome in all departments. Except there is no CM yet

Are you using auto brightness?  I've never heard of anyone getting 8 hours SOT. All the reviews I've read where they actually tested the phone get about 4-5 max, which is what I'm seeing as well.  Standby is great, but as soon as the screen is on, I can watch the battery gauge drop.

How is Cloudy G3 working for you?  I just bumped my phone, and will try flashing that ROM.. Hopefully will get a good bump in smoothness and battery life.

Yeah, I read a bunch of the threads over on XDA, sound like several people are having problems with this ROM because it's built off the international GSM firmware and not CDMA. It's probably saver to run a ROM that someone created from the Sprint variant.

At this point, I'll probably just keep it stock until there is a good Android 5.0 based ROM available.

I'm on g2 but the g3 port has better LTE connection on my g2, bit worse CDMA because it's a gsm port. :S

This is incredible. I can't wait to see what LG does next. If they keep this up, they might put Samsung out of business soon.

If they don't fix the locked bootloader they are gonna lose the Dev community though... [emoji24] Lollipop is adding even more security with the Kill Switch and the bootloader/root will only get harder to crack. Makes me sad to see it, I just wish they'd do a program like HTC Dev Unlock and just let us unlock.

That said, the display look amazing and I'll def be watching! [emoji1]

Did anyone actually get the AMEX card that was promised when purchasing the G3 back in July? I still hadn't gotten my, was curious today and found out it was denied. I'm having trouble understanding why, as I did everything that was required.

The SAME exact thing happened to me. Nobody at Sprint can tell me why or how to rectify the issue. I'm not happy.
