  1. I'm not sure if it's active by default OR is this is LG specific or not because I still have the menu on my Pixel XL but I don't on my G6.
  2. I never got my MSL but yes, Calling Plus. Wifi calling still works good but the addition to the "beta" LTE calling is what I was specifically referring to since wifi calling has been around on the device and others for a long time.
  3. I have to say, VoLTE seems to be working QUITE well! [emoji3] Sent from my LG-LS993 using Tapatalk
  4. Well I guess this is the point where we finally switch to the Asus firmware....
  5. Oh nice! I guess I should have asked when you got yours. Lol Good job!
  6. Oh, ok, more people NOT buying directly from Google, I get what you are saying. Well, maybe by some stroke of luck they'll treat you better than the two people I know that got devices from Amazon and Best Buy that are dealing with it. The actually amount is $165 for battery replacement which is what they said they would do for the early shut down and boot looping issues. I think what we are seeing is a result of the soured relationship between the two companies and Huawei's insistence that this is and was never their hardware issue.... and, to be honest, I don't think it was either. It sucks that this is the way they are treating folks though, for sure.
  7. No, it's is that same issue, they just aren't fixing the phones for free/extending the warranty to fix for free like Google did.
  8. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Huawei have been terrible with this situation.... They'll most likely tell you to send to them and they'll fix for $150 IIRC. Night and day difference from how Google is handling it. ?
  9. Guess I should a) make a call to Sprint (I have 3 new G6's activated in the last month) and get at least my MSL too! Oh, and if any of you LG G6 owners haven't already, make sure to go to LG's site and register for your 2nd year of warranty on the device. You'll need your place of purchase, date of purchase and MEID to complete the registration. Still can't believe I got these new ones for $120 each! what a deal. Spigen cases, glas.tr protection and 2yr of warranty on a water resistant (proof is a strong term but for all practical purposes, it is) should make for a long life on these devices.
  10. WOW! That's awesome! Just think, you've gone from dropping it merely days after buying it, to this.
  11. Trip, were you choosing the Black G6? I fought the site for awhile and couldn't get through the final Sprint verification either. Ended up going to store and when they told me it doesn't look like they were even given any black ones for the promo, I got out my laptop and tried the silver and sure enough, that was the problem. I got 3 more G6's on our account and had 2 on already (I've had one as my secondary device since it came out). It's a very solid device, great radio performance, battery is good, is water resistant and 2 full years of mfg warranty. I just couldn't pass up the upgrade for the 3 teenagers on our plan. 12. First try Google >>>>> https://support.google.com/store/answer/6301411?hl=en and instead of going to Huawei (like the instructions say to) chat with Google support. I know, for sure, Google is extending the window of coverage for devices from them but I don't know if Huawei is (I would imagine they are but never know). There are suits being filed because of this issue and there's a bit of finger pointing between the software and hardware suppliers. I'd think BOTH would just want this behind them but right now, I can only speak to how Google is handling devices the sold directly. Good luck!
  13. All good on my G6 as well. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  14. I don't know if any of you had the early shut down issue with your 6P's but if you did AND bought from Google direct, you should reach out through the warranty page and see about getting a replacement. I had the issue and got my 6P replaced with a brand new one. If they didn't have one, they were going to refund full price paid to me in exchange for my 6P with issues. 15. In this response to Dkoellerwx, it's for swapping the firmware but do you know if switching will allow the Google Home? Thanks for the link out regardless.
  16. I will say that I have 2 G6 devices that are use (go in and out of great coverage) in fringe areas outside of town (rural) and they are MUCH better than the M9's they had previously as well as my 6P. Holding calls, even HAVING data but also usable data etc... has really changed in a real way when they got their G6's. They might even be able to dump their Airrave finally.
  17. Let's hope the new baseband and kernel are LOADS better than the last. Absolutely terrible battery life!! Well apply when I can charge my phones since battery is been beat up all day, like usual, since the last "lobbed" update we got. :-\
  18. I'm not sure sure it's the cold... this very thing happened to me this morning, it's not terribly cold, (I was in the car) phone shut down, wouldn't reboot until I plugged in. One I plugged in, the phone would reboot and I looked at the battery graph and it showed power at 24% and then sharp drop to 0% for some strange reason. I'm on 7.1.2 though so as the warning given when I join the beta program over a year ago, instability can, at times, be expected. With the 7.1.2 update they took almost an extra month to bring to the 6P, then left out features the 5X got such as finger print scanner gestures and removing the TERRIBLE automate DND when using the phone. Obviously there were more hardware issues to work out with 7.1.2 on the 6P and I guess, they still need some "working", to say the least.... Ha ha Choice #1 = Grin and bear it Choice #2 = Hard reset and leave the beta program
  19. Yeah, that one is a REALLY strange issue. I don't know about you but my phone won't even actually shut down fully (ie no Android start up animation). The only reason I know it's done it is because fingerprint won't unlock and I have to input my pin.
  20. If it can be done like that, I think it'd be par for the course on an app like this and the user should understand "if" they want use it. I think most of us gladly paid to allow all these permissions in the app.
  21. We were never given a date and images aren't posted either, where you expecting it today?
  22. They work real slick. My wife has 5X (and no, Assistant was in the 7.1.2 update but a bunch of other stuff was. It was a big file!) so I got play with that. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  23. Anyone with a 5X on beta reporting Google Assistant being included in 7.1.2? Word is we'll get it but no confirmation on if it'll be official 7.1.2 or 7.2.0 version. Disclaimer: I'm not hard up for Google Assistant, just wondering. ???????? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
