Paynefanbro
Lets hope it's ready by August but something tells me that they haven't started yet. I'm not sure how fast they can build. Very fast considering high speed backhaul is on virtually every tower in PR and the USVI. I'm pretty sure that if both Sprint Customer Care and Marcelo Claure are stating it's being done, that it is. You guys should look for 8T8R panels. Some might be deployed even if they aren't active.
belusnecropolis
http://imgur.com/wiggwQ2 Holy crapidad! I have never seen such high upload on Band 25. @conquistador/Fajardo. Got lots of pics. 3 sectors, each one has two other antenna next NV gear. Not sure if sharing limited space w other carriers or just waiting for legacy removal. If one was so inclined they might even be able to sneak away from there partner and grab some pics up close on the roof, but I think I'll just lean hard on the zoom factor on the cam. Gonzalezjk
That is some high upload but crappy download. Better than what I have in Ponce. Hopefully with Spark, we can see over 20MBPS downloads

I will concede that the variation is a bit unsettling, but what are you doing that can't be accomplished efficiently with 6-9 Mbps download speeds?
Gonzalezjk
Crappy? I will concede that the variation is a bit unsettling, but what are you doing that can't be accomplished efficiently with 6-9 Mbps download speeds? I would be happy if I could get at least that. It is crappy if you compare it with ATT, Verizon and even T-Mobile in many states. But when you are getting .31 mbps and when you get inside of a bld you get only 1X 3G if lucky, you can't tell me that Sprint is doing good. If they only had 6-9 everywhere to include inside blds, that would be great. Truth is, they don't. Spark can't come fast enough.

But when you are getting .31 mbps and when you get inside of a bld you get only 1X 3G if lucky, you can't tell me that Sprint is doing good. Now you're obfuscating. For one, Verizon doesn't even offer LTE or native service in Puerto Rico so I'm not sure why they're even in the conversation. Moreover, you can get faster than 6-9 Mbps in many states on Sprint as well, but that's really beside the point. Now I, of course, agree that .31 Mbps is crappy for LTE, but that's not what you said. You stated that 6-9 Mbps was crappy download speed. If they only had 6-9 everywhere to include inside blds, that would be great. Truth is, they don't. Spark can't come fast enough. It's unfortunate that they apparently don't at present, but you aren't being consistent. You earlier claimed that 6-9 Mbps is "crappy", now you're saying that it would be "great". Which is it?

I am in the military and rely on my phone a lot because of travel. I came from AT&T a little less than a year ago. I regret that decision every day. I haven't been to a state that Sprint gives you good LTE. Here is PR which I am currently station at, it's the worst. 6-9 will be great compared to what the rest of the island gets which is, in my experience around 1-3 for LTE. I could get faster speeds than that on 3G with AT&T or T-Mobile. And yes, you're right. Verizon left many years ago and don't offer LTE here. And it is crappy of you compared with the rest of the companies here. We can all agree that Sprint has ways to go and I believe Spark will help them. Until then, they have ways to go. I hope Sprint can get data faster here in the next 6 months, if not, back to AT&T I go. I'm sure you can get more than 6-9 Mbps in other states but I bet in those states that Sprint can get that, other companies are doing better. I travel a lot, I haven't seen sprint doing better than my Soldiers' other companies. Just saying. Gonzalezjk
I could get 1-3 and even faster with AT&T on 3G, not Verizon. That was a mistake. Edited July 15, 2015 by Gonzalezjk

Seems like one would just need their phone to work for whatever they're using it for, but to each their own...

Gonzalezjk
They have been upgrading the antennas for what I can tell. Passed by the Ponce letters on the hwy and I got 30mpbs down and 10 up. That's what I call speed. Don't have that by my house so I'm assuming they haven't started working on the tower near me. Also noticed stronger LTE. Never had more than 2 LTE bars, now I have 3. Not sure if that is related. So far so good Sprint. Gonzalezjk
This is the best pictures I could get from the HWY going to work today. Not sure how its going to look because its a litte far. Today, while taking the pics, I got 32.34 down 9.23 up. Not bad at all Sprint. Edited August 13, 2015 by Gonzalezjk
