S4GRU
When looking at the Sprint site it shows a lot of the towers in the area with "Data Speed Upgrades" Isn't that the backhaul? So you'd think a lot of the towers already have this completed. That said, I could be grossly incorrect in my thinking. Yes, it is backhaul. But it could be additional T1 lines for a legacy site. It only shows backhaul upgrades for NV sites after they are completed. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

S4GRU
In your opinion, when do you think Orlando will see a launch of LTE throughout most of the city? I would guess 60-90 days at this point. Although more and more coverage will be added every week until that point. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
kmshadoze
The Orlando Market is steadily growing daily, at least from what I can see on Sensorly, I hope to see a decent coverage througout all of CFL within the next 60 days
Zandar
A friend was able to pick up 4G at Research Park today for a little while. It is not mapped on Sensorly yet. Does anyone frequent that area that could map it?
KKPsiSousapro
I live right up on research park and can confirm that I have LTE today... It's still only around 2500 mbps but it's actually active. There's another cell tower a little further (50 and 408 ish) that's giving lte as well. I'm pretty amped about it... Like I was for wimax initially only with the understanding that sprint is committed to lte Sent from my SPH-L900 using JellyBombed Tapatalk

Zandar
2500mbps!? I'm sure he meant kbps. My friend got ~4500 kbps this afternoon.
KKPsiSousapro
Lol yeah kbps. One might think we were in Sweden otherwise :-P Sent from my SPH-L900 using JellyBombed Tapatalk
XXavierXX
So I was in Waterford Lakes on 1/15/2013 between 8:00-8:30pm, and I caught 1-2 bars of LTE signal a couple hundred feet from the entrance of Best Buy, and I got some fairly decent speeds considering my distance from the tower in Avalon Park. The tower closest to Waterford Lakes apparently hasn't activated LTE yet, but here's the test I managed to get out there.
samer21
That's pretty dang good for that range. On curry ford and alafaya I was parked at the PNC and picked up lte only got 1.6mbps at that range. Still beats 3g.
jtbnanuk
Here's are some pictures I took of a site in groveland off of SR50 that has a recent network vision overhaul. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zh5drlcj71ey791/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2001%2042%20AM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/oh0dkb6j09hfre4/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2002%2012%20AM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/qzqx5cjsxw6mtt2/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2002%2035%20AM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/g9c73bc5g1pprqm/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2002%2047%20AM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/zgc78w27rj0tgg2/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2002%2059%20AM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/okvu8x67q42spg1/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2003%2013%20AM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/vqfy13cui955wgk/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2005%2019%20AM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/yplqck3liq7cue5/Photo%20Jan%2015%2C%206%2005%2031%20AM.jpg

Either they had the towers off then or my phone isn't picking up LTE. I have to check again this weekend, hopefully they have it up. I'd love at the very least to catch a glimpse of LTE. dvorakdj
I found a 4G signal in Merritt Island today, pretty close to the tower at SR 528 and Courtenay Pkwy. Then it disappeared and I had no data for the rest of my drive to KSC. Going to donate so that I can see those tower location maps.
kmshadoze
I was thinking about donating too. Is the $100 donation the one to be able to see tower locations, or is that if you donate below $100? I too would like to see the location maps, and see whats in those forums.

ucf.elk
I was in Waterford Lakes yesterday (1/15) at around 7-7:30 and didn't pick up anything. I did pick up 4G earlier at 50 and Avalon.
ucf.elk
BTW I mapped both on Sensorly.
kmshadoze
Been doing a lot of Speed Tests in the Lake Mary area, they are still awful, but when I went to check network, it was eHRPD, so HOPEFULLY that means the switch is coming soon! Without being on WiFi its awful

digink
It is weird for me.. it seems like SPEEDs are slow as balls, but it seems like it is more responsive if that makes any sense? 4G can't come soon enough, I can wait a month or two but COME ON!! Cyclonut
I was almost hesitant to get an LTE phone knowing that the LTE coverage was not soon to follow. My thought process was that all the people with WiMax phones switching to LTE phones would now be only on 3g because the LTE was not available and it would slow down the 3g network. XXavierXX
I thought I was the only one. Data speeds everywhere I go in the UCF area are just as slow as they used to be. The Network Vision 3G speeds were good for a couple of weeks. I have no idea what happened.
