  1. Well I just moved to Winter Park yesterday and I finally get 2-3 bars on LTE everywhere in my apartment. I get about between 5-12mbps download. My contract with Sprint ends this Thursday, 10/31/13. Haven't decided if I'm switching to T-Mobile because I am just now getting good Sprint service again and T-Mobile also appears to have good LTE service at my place too, so even if I do leave, I'll still stick around and keep track of the forums.
  2. I just saw someone on the cell phone tower at University Blvd & Econlockhatchee Trl between the top and second set of panels with a cable that seemed to be transporting unknown objects to him up there.I also noticed I got 3 bars of unusable LTE on University from Dean to Rouse, and it was 5 bars (still unusable) from Rouse to Alafaya in front of UCF's main entrance. First signs of progress I've seen in a long time. Also, Sensorly got a major redesign and user-run speed tests are found in very specific locations around town now.
  3. Alright latest update in a while. After crossing the bridge over 417 northbound on Econlockhatchee Trail north of Colonial, I had 4-5 bars on LTE until I got to University and fell back to 3G. I have no idea what tower I was connected to but that's definitely a first for that area of UCF.
  4. Alright guys I have a layover at Memphis International Airport on my way back to Orlando from Houston. Here's the speed test I got here just for the heck of it lol
  5. Here's my Sprint 3G speed test in Houston. For 3G service, this is the best latency I've ever seen. I'm sure I could get up to 3mbps download if I really tried. Just getting you guys excited here haha
  6. LOL I know right? Excuse my language, but for it's value, Sprint absolutely shits on AT&T and Verizon out here. I seriously can't wait for Orlando to catch up. I'll never complain about my phone bill again hahaha
  7. While in Houston, I'm noticing that watching YouTube live streams cuts off sometimes while on 3-4 bars on LTE while in motion, such as riding in the car. I'm wondering if that will stop happening after the 800MHz rolls out? Thoughts?
  8. Well I'm in Houston right now where LTE has already launched, and I gotta say, when the rollout in Orlando catches up to how it is here, it will seriously totally be worth it.
  9. Getting 2-4 bars on LTE at my apartment complex for the first time this morning. It's 6:52am on my way to work, and I'm getting up to 20mbps download on Econlockhatchee Trl. North of Colonial. Can't tell which tower I was connected to though.
  10. So I noticed something. If I go long periods of time without using my iPhone in my room, I almost always find it on LTE with one bar (one circle on iOS 7 ), but as soon as I try to use data, it immediately switches to 1x, then 3G. I don't know why, but what a tease lol
  11. Well, I just changed my 450 minutes individual plan to the newly announced Unlimited, My Way plan. Once LTE finishes rolling out, this new plan will be the best plan ever. However, looking at the way they advertise unlimited data "for life," do you think that may hint that Sprint might consider removing their unlimited data plan in the future?
  12. I'm not sure which of the 116 cities they're talking about, but apparently T-Mobile just surpassed Sprint in LTE, covering 157 million people. I'm sure they're messing with the numbers somehow, but I might have to jump ship on Halloween, when my Sprint contract ends, if I don't have LTE coverage pretty much everywhere I go by then. Thoughts? However, as the days go by, I am starting to get LTE in my house more frequently but it's not a steady signal yet. About how long do you guys think it'll take roughly for any single Sprint tower to convert its 800MHz to LTE, especially given this Softbank-Sprint-Clearwire merger?
  13. I don't know what's been going on lately, but starting this past Thursday, 6/26/2013, my 3G and voice have been completely nonfunctional pretty much everywhere on and around UCF campus, southern Oviedo, and University Blvd to 417. I'm assuming NV and LTE rollouts are to blame, but I'm not really sure.
  14. Wow, I gotta say that's the best LTE speed test I've seen so far. I think I saw someone get 38mbps download somewhere before, but this is the best in Orlando by far.
  15. How about this? Fastest 3G speed test I have ever done, inside the UCF gym on the first floor on Sunday night, 5/26/2013. I'm also getting LTE throughout my apartment at a very faint signal that doesn't last long. We're getting there guys.
  16. Currently getting up to 9mbps download & 3mbps upload with 4 bars on LTE at Colonial Dr. & Avalon Park Blvd. First time getting good LTE coverage on that side of Avalon Park.
  17. I had to lose my jailbreak, so I can't approximate tower locations anymore But, driving down Colonial from Econlockhatchee to Lake Pickett Rd, I kept 2-3 bars on LTE the entire time, with being at full bars from Dean to Alafaya. Also I got 2 bars on LTE out on my porch for the first time, but it went back to 3G again lol what a tease. Good to have this pace back up and running again.
  18. I have gotten LTE in my bedroom a few times and in my living room twice. I'm wondering if the tower on Dean & Colonial is going to be the one I'll always be connected to from home. Anyone know if that tower might be able to give off a similar signal strength as the one by Lee Vista? I see a lot of LTE towers with a very low signal even being close by me, and distant ones that give me full bars. I don't really understand why.
  19. True, well the creator of Signal 2 said that this as accurate as it gets without having tower ID's so I'm not 100% sure either, but it seems accurate enough to me. By Avalon Park, I found a weak, but active LTE tower: From that same tower, I was also connected to it from Avalon Park and got this speed test: I was connected to the tower at Lee Vista again, but this time, all the way from the Walmart in Avalon Park: From that Walmart, I kept a surprisingly good LTE signal inside the back of the store and got speed tests like this: And lastly, just south of the intersection of Colonial Dr & Avalon Park Blvd, I got this 3G speed test: How long do you guys think until the LTE rollout is complete enough for Sprint to officially launch in Orlando?
  20. My iPhone 5 is jailbroken, so I use an app from Cydia called Signal 2. The app collects cache data to approximate the location of the towers at which I'm connected to at that moment. I'm pretty sure we were talking about the same tower. From what I'm seeing on Signal 2, it is the tower by Quadrangle that has active LTE. That tower has been active pretty much every day for the past 2 or 3 months now. I get an LTE signal from that tower every time I take a trip down University to campus. I expect the signal to drastically improve in the near future. Expect full bars from that tower sometime in the next few weeks. Here are a handful of screenshots of speed tests and tower connections I had throughout the day today, May 4th, 2013: In Signal 2, a red line means my iPhone is currently connected to that tower. A blue line means the tower is visible, but not directly connected to it at that moment. Being in the location above, I got this speed test below: And right at the intersection of Econlockhatchee Trl & Colonial Dr, I got this speed test below: As you can see below, I have a very impressive screenshot of my iPhone with full bars on LTE from the Lee Vista & 417 tower all the way from Colonial: From the screenshot above, I got this very impressive speed test below: On Colonial & Alafaya in front of Walmart, I still have a good LTE signal from the Lee Vista tower: At 11:09pm on May 4th, 2013, the Lee Vista tower is still very much active, while the tower at Quadrangle is visible and active as well: So all in all, we need to get Sensorly running again!!! The end of the old slow 3G days are quickly approaching! Keep it up guys!!!
  21. Also getting 0.5-2mbps download and less than 1mbps upload on Alafaya from the tower west of Quadrangle. Looks like that tower has a lot more potential left to go before the entire UCF area gets full coverage. Also sorry for doing this in multiple replies. I can't edit posts on mobile for some reason lol
  22. LTE signal disappeared as I made it Northbound on Alafaya. The LTE signal I get on University is coming from the tower just west of the Quadrangle due North of the IHOP and plazas by UCF. It's great to finally have LTE outside of my house and almost everywhere around my area.
