Sent diags from a S22+ with T-Mobile postpaid on eSIM and US Mobile prepaid on pSIM  with eSIM as primary.  When a call comes in on the pSIM secondary, data also shifts over to it, but SCP Pro still shows the eSIM LTE and 5G.

Cellmapper always shows both.

Speedtest assumes primary eSIM, but speed is definitely the pSIM secondary.

Above comment was production version. Updated to beta.

Status line has band but no RSRP, which does change bands. Maybe just a formating issue on RSRP number? "--".

Top lines are much like s21 factory unlocked: 5g-NR heading, followed by SS-RSRP and SS-RSRQ with values. UL and DL Earfcn, CA info displayed.

Separately, phone does display correct bands using *#0011#. Gives indication 100MHz of n41 and second n41 carrier at 40MHz plus lte 66 at 20bw.

Without load it drops n41 and adds LTE band 2 which is implied in  SCP 2xCA 20+20 under LTE AWS heading section.  SCP does not change under load (5g NSA).

That is a known Android 13 bug discussed above and on the app website. It has been reported on the Android IssueTracker, please give it a +1 to help attract attention: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/244063666

How soon I forget. Already starred that when first requested.

Went out to Minneapolis. Saw n7 issue. Returned to Columbus. Now get n38. Sent diags for n38. Narfcn is 520110 on *#0011# service mode.  If I force it to SA, it is n41 of course at the same frequency

New beta is coming very soon (not tonight) that will include actual login for web uploads (find your password!) and some more bugfixes. Taking me a long time to get the login authentication working but I am almost there. Getting this working will open up the door to lots of cool possibilities with the web data in the future.. 😎

  • 2 weeks later...

A new SignalCheck beta is rolling out now and should be available shortly! The most significant changes in this version are an overhaul of the web upload routines. Password authentication (signalcheck.net account) is now required. To upload data, go to the menu and select Logs > Upload Web Data. The upload shortcut (accessed by clicking on the pending points display on the main screen) still works, however you will need to use the menu option the first time in order to log in. Please test the upload functionality as much as possible and share any suggestions for improvement.

You can have one web account for multiple devices; there is a "Client" field that users can configure upon login. This field defaults to your device make/model but can be any text. All of your active sessions are displayed on the Account page on signalcheck.net. Sessions can be deleted from the website or by logging out on the app.

Overhauling the upload functionality and implementing secure login should open the door for more features down the road, perhaps some sort of logic to identify sites for Site Notes, etc.. there is a lot of interesting potential here.

Known issues with this release:

Once logged in, there is a delay in displaying the Upload Web Data window while the app contacts the server to validate your login. The delay varies depending on network conditions, but should only be a brief moment. I am working on improving the UI to make it more clear that the app is doing something and not freezing.

Creating a new web account is not supported from within the app yet. There is a button for it, but you are simply directed to the website for now.

Other notable changes:

  • Added accent colors for additional wireless providers.
  • Improved web upload processing and error handling.
  • Resolved issue with delayed status bar icon at startup on Android 12+ devices.

As always, I appreciate your support and encourage feedback, publicly or privately. I intend to release this version to the public (with upload features hidden, for now -- that is still in beta testing) if testing proves it to be stable.

Good morning,

I've just tried the update on my main phone and gotten a null pointer exception when I try to log in.  Not really sure what else to do, but here's relevant screenshots.

https://imgur.com/a/NvEQiDG

And I checked and it does it regardless of whether the password is right or wrong.

EDIT:  I also tried removing the spaces from the device name (just "S21FE") and that didn't fix it.  Interestingly, I'm looking at the website and I do see multiple "sessions" in my list there.  So it looks like it may be logging in on the web site but then either failing to understand the acknowledgement on the app side since the next time I try it says I'm not logged in.

I was going there to try to remove the non-alphanumeric characters from my password, as I know Cell Mapper has a problem with those, but can't figure out how to do it through the website.

I see the same Null Pointer Exception error when I try to log in. Pw is correct, etc.

Hmm, that is odd, I cannot replicate that on my end. Should not be any restrictions on spaces or special characters in any of the fields. Could you each try again, and submit diagnostic reports immediately after so I can see if anything is being logged? Thanks!

Not sure what is causing that issue for some users (and not me!), but made some adjustments and rolling out another beta update now.. if you receive additional errors on the new version, please submit diagnostics immediately following your login attempt. Thanks!

Thank you both, not sure if there is a server issue (@RAvirani?) or I'm just completely missing something, I can see the error but cannot replicate it on my end.

If others could chime in with their experience (positive or negative), it might help me narrow down a cause. Thanks!

Can someone having the error go to the website, log in, click on your name in the top right corner, and check if there are any devices added to your account?

I am getting a "Site cannot be found" error trying to go to the website page.  I tried on my local work ISP and T-Mobile network.

I'm also having the login error null issue; report sent just now.

This is my first time trying to login so I had to create an account, but I was able to login on the website.  There's a cell right on top of my house and I was hoping to move it, but it seems I don't have enough uploads yet.

OK.  Now site back up and connected.  I log in.  I see my Google Pixel 7 Pro device listed.  I try to sign in using the app.  Get the login error null issue.  I go in and delete my device from the list on the website.  Verified it is removed from the list.  I go back and try to sign in again using the app.  NULL  Verified that the device reappeared when I added in the device list.  It is there.

Robert

EDIT:  And I have tried doing a force stop, hard reboot and try signing in all fresh.  Same problem.

    • In the conference call they had two question on additional spectrum. One was the 800 spectrum. They are not certain what will happen, thus have not really put it into their plans either way (sale or no sale). The do have a reserve level. It is seen as great for new technologies which I presume is IOT or 5g slices.  They did not bite on use of their c-band or DOD.  mmWave rapidly approaching deadlines not mentioned at all. FWA brushes on this as it deals with underutilized spectrum on a sector by sector basis.  They are willing to take more money to allow FWA to be mobile (think RV or camping). Unsure if this represents a higher priority, for example, RVs in Walmart parking lots where mobile needs all the capacity. In terms of FWA capacity, their offload strategy is fiber through joint ventures where T-Mobile does the marketing, sales, and customer support while the fiber company does the network planning and installation.  50%-50% financial split not being consolidated into their books. I think discussion of other spectrum would have diluted the fiber joint venture discussion. They do have a fund which one use is to purchase new spectrum. Sale of the 800Mhz would go into this. It should be noted that they continue to buy 2.5Ghz spectrum from schools etc to replace leases. They will have a conference this fall  to update their overall strategies. Other notes from the call are 75% of the phones on the network are 5g. About 85% of their sites have n41, n25, and n71. 93% of traffic is on midband.  SA is also adding to their performance advantage, which they figure is still ahead of other carriers by two years. It took two weeks to put the auction 108 spectrum to use at their existing sites. Mention was also made that their site spacing was designed for midrange thus no gaps in n41 coverage, while competitors was designed for lowband thus toggles back and forth for n77.
    • The manual network selection sounds like it isn't always scanning NR, hence Dish not showing up. Your easiest way to force Dish is going to be forcing the phone into NR-only mode (*#*#4636#*#* menu?), since rainbow sims don't support SA on T-Mobile.
    • "The company’s unique multi-layer approach to 5G, with dedicated standalone 5G deployed nationwide across 600MHz, 1.9GHz, and 2.5GHz delivers customers a consistently strong experience, with 85% of 5G traffic on sites with all three spectrum bands deployed." Meanwhile they are very close to a construction deadline in June for 850Mhz of mmWave in most of Ohio iirc. No reported sightings.

They're completely avoiding talking about mmWave.
    • Was true in my market. Likely means a higher percentage of 5g phones in your market.
