HTC M8/New Flagship

I think the mini might be released around the same time or soon after since some info about that device has leaked already as well.  The max version probably won't be until the end of the year.

I think that the Max is going to compete with the Note line this time around. It'll probably get a Snaodragon 805 and other features tho time around.

Just watched the video. I'd suggest it with the volume turned down, because the kid gets annoying quick. I really like the dark grey finish on this one. Now I'm debating on whether to get this on Sprint or move to VZW once my fiancee's contract is up. Glad to see the SD slot return. Hopefully battery size improves, as well as battery life.

Edit - am I one of the few who'd like them to incorporate a fingerprint sensor into the phone? I'd love to lock it via fingerprint like the S5 and iPhone 5S. Much better IMO than the pattern or PIN.

It seemed that the kid didn't understand pre release software. But will be interested when the phone gets reviewed properly!

Here's a mirror of the video.

The only thing I disliked was the sensors on the front being on the top right...Should be on the top left, because there's so many times where my thumb will accidentally cover it when I reach to pulldown my notification bar while on call.  Oh well.  Other than that, looked pretty good.

EDIT: There's no way that the person that leaked the video kept their job.  Probably their sons fault, too.

Looks like the kid is in trouble with HTC...

Supposedly someone who had access to his PC uploaded it without him knowing. Would suck to have that happen but it could just be a cover up. Not sure.

Sent from my LG-LS980

Nope just excuses. He got both of his parents fired from the industry  (US Cellular) for breaking NDA.

Will it be spark capable? Or does that go without saying.

This will definitely be a tri-band device, how could it not be?

Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention? I have some urgent and horrifying news.

The Sprint variant HTC M8 has just hit the FCC OET this afternoon.  We will try to have further info posted later this evening.

It is not bad.  It is fine, just about what we expected.

But Ron Burgundy got your attention, right?

:P

Well, Judge, you will just have to wait an hour or two while I throw a few things up on The Wall and see what sticks.

Actually, the "urgent and horrifying news" is that the HTC M8 does not support SVLTE.  Oh, how are we ever going to manage?!

What's the model number for Sprint variant? M8spr?

We do not even know the final name for this handset, let alone the model number.  The only thing we know is the FCC ID number.

That's strange.  Usually the FCC documents contain the device ID number.  Can you tell from the FCC if the M8 has wireless charging?

HTC requested that some information not be released.
