I haven't done anything to deviate from stock and I normally go a good 3-5 hours at 100% if don't do much besides a few email checks and a quick look at the weather. The idle standby on this phone is ridiculous. I can leave it all night and only drop 2% in 8 hours.

Is it me or is it this phone?
I downloaded my schedule on gmail. If I open the schedule up on my G2 the dates don't match the day. If I open the same attachment on my computer it matches up correctly. What's going on?

Is it for appointments beyond March, indicating a possible daylight saving time issue? Are your time zones set correctly on both ends? I've been syncing calendars through Google for a long time and have seen some funky things on phones. All-day events appear to be a day off because of time zone issues, making an event from 11pm-11pm (or 1am-1am) instead of 12am-12am.

It was for this month.   The person at the Sprint store said it was because the calendar was sent to me in my gmail account and when I tried to open it my phone doesn't recognize Office 365.   The Samsung tablet on display did not recognize it either but the Itablet (or whatever they are called opened the attachment properly.

Is this going to be changed?  Did they skimp on the phone to make it cheap?

As of late, I've had odd GPS issues arise. It'll lock very fast or decently fast but it'll have me located 300-600 feet away. It'll even track with my movement--only 300-600 feet shifted to the northeast, east, south, etc.Navigation is a pain when this pain with this as the phone thinks I'm deep within a suburban cul-de-saq neighborhood when I'm actually moving 45 mph on the nearby arterial. Using GPS Status I have will have a lock on 14 or more satellites but have a GPS accuracy in the 300-feet range. When these issue arise, a reboot usually fixes the issue.

I've had the same issues, but mine have been very intermittent. I got this phone 1st week of Dec. and had no issues at all the 1st week. The 2nd week the GPS wouldn't work or lock for a couple days then it just starts working out of the blue and has worked great up until a week 1/2 ago. For the last week 1/2 the phone wouldn't lock on my location and have me miles away from my exact location. Once I start my trip the GPS location would get better and show me maybe within a half mile of where I actually was. I tried using different app's(Google maps, skout, mapquest) and all had the same problem. As of yesterday it's been working perfect....I don't get it.

Ok i got a question for anyone that works at a sprint store that does repair and service. I bought two lg g2s about a month ago and one of them got dropped and the screen has cracked. Ok well i have tep on my phones and filed a claim but they say they are on backorder so would i not be able to get one from a store its not like they dont have plenty of them in stock. You wouldnt think i would have to take a lesser phone bevause they dont have a refurbished one to give me. If anyone could tell me how to go about this I would appreciate it cause its been a week already.

They could definitely send you a lesser phone (and they'll say it's comparable) if you need a phone right away. You can tell them you want a G2 as soon as they are available and they can send a replacement for your replacement. I remember when they were sending SG3's instead of EVO LTE's.

You could also just get the screen repaired if the body of the phone isn't too banged up and save some money. Not sure if you have a local repair place that does screens though.

^ wrong. The list only gives you options of comparable models. When I replaced mine the other option was a note 3. It's a G2, note or nothing. I would activate an old phone and have them order you a phone. It will be a new one. Mine said it wouldn't be but I got a new one anyways.

So when they say its on backorder does that mean that they are ordering me one? I never seen a option or anything to choose something else but i dont want anything else besides a g2. How long did it take to get yours?

    • Since this is kind of the general chat thread, I have to share this humorous story (at least it is to me): Since around February/March of this year, my S22U has been an absolute pain to charge. USB-C cables would immediately fall out and it progressively got worse and worse until it often took me a number of minutes to get the angle of the cable juuuussst right to get charging to occur at all (not exaggerating). The connection was so weak that even walking heavily could cause the cable to disconnect. I tried cleaning out the port with a stable, a paperclip, etc. Some dust/lint/dirt came out but the connection didn't improve one bit. Needless to say, this was a MONSTER headache and had me hating this phone. I just didn't have the finances right now for a replacement.  Which brings us to the night before last. I am angry as hell because I had spent five minutes trying to get this phone to charge and failed. I am looking in the port and I notice it doesn't look right. The walls look rough and, using a staple, the back and walls feel REALLY rough and very hard. I get some lint/dust out with the staple and it improves charging in the sense I can get it to charge but it doesn't remove any of the hard stuff. It's late and it's charging, so that's enough for now. I decide it's time to see if that hard stuff is part of the connector or not. More aggressive methods are needed! I work in a biochem lab and we have a lot of different sizes of disposable needles available. So, yesterday morning, while in the lab I grab a few different sizes of needles between 26AWG and 31 AWG. When I got home, I got to work and start probing the connector with the 26 AWG and 31 AWG needle. The stuff feels extremely hard, almost like it was part of the connector, but a bit does break off. Under examination of the bit, it's almost sandy with dust/lint embedded in it. It's not part of the connector but instead some sort of rock-hard crap! That's when I remember that I had done some rock hounding at the end of last year and in January. This involved lots of digging in very sandy/dusty soils; soils which bare more than a passing resemblance to the crap in the connector. We have our answer, this debris is basically compacted/cemented rock dust. Over time, moisture in the area combined with the compression from inserting the USB-C connector had turned it into cement. I start going nuts chiseling away at it with the 26 AWG needle. After about 5-10 minutes of constant chiseling and scraping with the 26AWG and 31AWG needles, I see the first signs of metal at the back of the connector. So it is metal around the outsides! Another 5 minutes of work and I have scraped away pretty much all of the crap in the connector. A few finishing passes with the 31AWG needle, a blast of compressed air, and it is time to see if this helped any. I plug my regular USB-C cable and holy crap it clicks into place; it hasn't done that since February! I pick up the phone and the cable has actually latched! The connector works pretty much like it did over a year ago, it's almost like having a brand new phone!
    • That's odd, they are usually almost lock step with TMO. I forgot to mention this also includes the September Security Update.
    • 417.55 MB September security update just downloaded here for S24+ unlocked   Edit:  after Sept security update install, checked and found a 13MB GP System update as well.  Still showing August 1st there however.
    • T-Mobile is selling the rest of the 3.45GHz spectrum to Columbia Capital.
    • Still nothing for my AT&T and Visible phones.
