  1. I agree, the whole speed debate is kinda silly if you ask me. For what I do on my phone(as well as 90% of the general pop. probably) I don't need the speeds that are being advertised by other carriers. Sure the fast speeds sounds great. Let's be honest and practical..... for the minimal texting, the few downloads/streaming throughout my day, 2 megs down is more than enough. What is someone doing during the day on their cell phone that they need 30-50 meg download speeds? I've got my home network that I can use when I get home at night, in the rare occasion I would need those speeds. I would rather have unlimited data/usage and have the slower speeds that meets my needs and works just fine. What's the use of being with a carrier that advertises 50 down/20 up but your capped every month and not able to use your service without paying more off the top if you go over your monthly allotment? 2. I've had the same issues, but mine have been very intermittent. I got this phone 1st week of Dec. and had no issues at all the 1st week. The 2nd week the GPS wouldn't work or lock for a couple days then it just starts working out of the blue and has worked great up until a week 1/2 ago. For the last week 1/2 the phone wouldn't lock on my location and have me miles away from my exact location. Once I start my trip the GPS location would get better and show me maybe within a half mile of where I actually was. I tried using different app's(Google maps, skout, mapquest) and all had the same problem. As of yesterday it's been working perfect....I don't get it. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  3. Funny you posted this, I was just logging in to ask the same question. About a week ago or so I asked the same question on here and never heard one way or the other as to what's going on. The last couple days have been TERRIBLE with my G2 and my wifes S4. We cant hold a call to save our lives as it keeps disconnecting, losing signal, etc. This morning my wife and I tried for an hour and 15 minutes calling back forth to one another, getting disconnected, losing signals on our phones. My wife was out with the boys in the snow and we couldn't speak to one another until she was able to get home to use our land line. At our house in West Jordan around 7000 S 6200 W area we have literally no bars on our phones and the phones are basically useless at this point. On the way back from Utah County this morning for work I stopped by the Sprint Store at 104th/Bangerter and they said that there updating towers for 4g and they dont have a timeline as to when there going to be completed and that's whats causing the poor phone service according to the Sprint employee. I know this is not a site for voicing issues with Sprint but I'm just curious if anyone knows if our poor service is actually related to the tower upgrades(per the sprint employee) or if it's something else. I dont mind holding on a little longer and waiting this out but I just want an explanation and maybe a timeline as to when this will correct itself. If they are actually doing cell tower upgrades for 4g that's cool, but if the employee is feeding me a line because he has no idea what's going on and this doesn't clear up soon we'll have to switch carriers.
  4. my phone hasn't picked up any lte for the last week or so. Tonight were at some friends house in Murray and I've had this the whole night. G2 I'm sorry I doubted you. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

  6. Thanks.....I'm gonna be a lil patient and let the kinks get worked out, I'm sure everything is cool. How you liking your g2?? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

  8. Anyone tell me is this the correct setting that my G2 needs to be on for the phone to be picking up lte? The last couple days I haven't really picked up any 4g, when I have the signal is so poor -115 to -119 that its unusable. Whenever it finds 4g it almost instantly goes back to 3g and 3g usually has a pretty good signal. Last week I picked up lte over by kearns high school....strong signal, good speeds etc. Since then the lte has been almost non-existent, and I'm not sure if its my phone, a phone setting OR if there still doing work that would prevent the phone from picking up a usable signal. I read posts on here of people picking up lte and I'm scratching my head why I'm not. I do ALOT of driving/traveling with my job from 2100 south(west side of slc) all the way down to Lindon in Utah County. With all the towers that I pass from wvc down to utah county you would think I'd picking up something other than 3g 90% of the time. I've heard that the g2 has radio issues that prevents it from picking up good signal and a update is possible at some point to fix the issue. Anyone having or heard of these issues....or is it just me? Also for the last couple days I've been having terrible phone issues(phone calls disconnecting, popping, crackling, kinda muffled/hard to understand). Yesterday I went in and changed the setting to "cdma only" NOT lte/cdma and the sound quality is perfect as though the person is standing right next to me and I haven't been disconnected from any calls since....does this make any sense to anyone? 9. I have the same problem where I live here in WJ. I've got almost full bars and good signal strength with 3g but 4g shows up and have no bars(1 if I'm lucky and signal strength of around -115) and unusable. Is there a fix to the poor 4g signal OR is it just deal with it? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  10. Thats it thanks man! Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

  12. I have this icon that pops up in the upper left of the status bar that looks like a cell phone with a eyeball inside of it. Its so intermittent and comes and goes so quick that I can't figure out what it is. Ive tried taking a screen shot to try and post on here, but as quick as it shows up it vanishes. I've looked online and pulled up the g2 users manual.....it shows pictures of all the status icons except the one that keeps popping up on my phone. Anyone have an idea what it is?? 13. I was at 4400 w 5200s @ St. Francis Catholic Church yesterday for work....and that site is lit up im pretty sure. I sat in the parking lot for a good 10 mins. and 4 bars and had a signal of -90. Ran multiple speed tests and had around 15 down/5 up. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
