Is Frederick the reason that Sprint never formally launch DC market?

I don't think so, my guess is if that was the only hold up they would have already launched DC. Then just launch Frederick, MD separately.

I wonder what the hold up for the lte deployment? Hopefully once they get things going they install 8t8r antennas and just launch it as a spark market

Yup at the DC zoo, Adams Morgan. My highest speed test was 55 Mbps

Yup I had Band 41 from Germantown, MD to DC.

Got my G3 today, surprised to pick up Band 41 at Riggs Rd and East west highway! Got about 40 down and 15 up, going back tomorrow for more testing

On B41 near my work place, northwest DC, I got 40 down 6 up. But the b41 at my house can only go near 8 down 2 up. Huge difference. They are near the same signal level

The backhaul on the clear tower at your house is probably the issue.

My suffering finally stopped just switched to T mobile and got a new s5 with it and i'm telling you that T mobile service is very very good i know sprint is good where the updates are but where there aren't its bad and inconsistent i got fed up and now im having fun with very good service everywhere i go.

Im in delaware market my speed mostly 10 megs all the time on avearage. Just waiting for spark and 800 lte launch.

800 LTE is pretty crazy, I stayed connected to the same tower until I was roughly 3000 meters away, with 80dbm signal! I'll post screens later if I remember, also more B41 speed tests

 

Still need to get out near Riggs&East West with my DSLR

A bunch of B41 permits were issued by DC government in July. Hopefully, they have the crews and backhaul to get these sites up quickly.

They don't format it properly anymore, but search for Sprint or Antenna.

Looks like Sprint updated their coverage maps for DC... As of September 4th, Sprint now shows LTE in DC... No spark yet, but hopefully coming soon.

It appears they've begun showing all LTE towers that are broadcasting, even in non-launched markets.

Downtown San Francisco didn't show LTE coverage on Sprint's maps until the September 4th revision... And San Francisco is on that launched list...

 

DC shows LTE coverage on the same map revision, but DC isn't on the launched cities list.

I wouldn't officially announce DC yet. While LTE is mostly present in DC, there are still some gaping holes in reality and people will notice. Hopefully, it is just a few more weeks. No need to formally announce LTE service when it really isn't up to snuff yet. Especially, in this hyper-connected DC environment.

I noticed my 3G speeds in frederick MD are pretty good. I got 1.17 down and .52 up. Is this an indication their NV towers are equip with proper backhaul?? Or nah lol

 

I heard LTE should be deployed within 6 months in frederick. *fingers crossed*

I picked up LTE on the Northside of town in Frederick, was on 15 north, north of Rosemont
