Does ##update# help with signal service besides updating the PRL?

Iphone's generally do not have a great radio. Maybe the iphone 7 is better? But generally speaking not quite as good as a top notch android device.

Regardless, your speeds seem very respectable. Once they launch the 3rd carrier and sites are less burdened you should see a nice bump.

Depends on who you ask... some have seen better performance with iPhone vs. Android, some have seen worse. Though I think it's safe to say the iPhone doesn't have the worst radio.

No not really. Unless you are getting no data or are not connecting, that's not really going to affect your reception.

They seem to land somewhere in the middle of the pack, not great and not bad.

My wife had the 6 and I had the 6s and my 6s performed much better than hers. Now she has the 7 and it appears to be the same as my 6s.

Mine would hold on to LTE while hers would switch to 3G on some locations or 1x.

My iPhone 7 Plus actually holds signal very well. Even when LTE is bad I don't see 3G unless I switch off LTE. 3G always seems to be blazing fast where as LTE in certain areas is bogged down and in some cases slower than the 3G.

Same here

Sprint top upload is 17 Mbps. So 13 is about right. Only way to get higher than 17 is in areas where band 25 is 10x10, then it tops out at 35 up

Anyone know what this means on SCP. Its been showing up for me a ton in Queens and in Manhattan. I'm referring to the two *'s. Ran a speed test after seeing it this time and got over 40Mbps

Also unrelated question: Any one know of the status of the DAS at JFK?

Bug in SCP, GCI starting with 03, 02 are Clearwire sites.. also you notice the PLMN is 311940 thats Clear as well. Your better served by looking at the device engineering screen to confirm.

oh man I was hoping there were more small cells in Manhattan and they started in Queens. But thinking about it now I haven't seen SCP spit out Clearwire B41 in a while and since I got my V20

V20 does not display Clear in NYC, GCi 02 or 03 unfortunately.

Every device reports slightly differently. Some work, some have a few issues. It differs by market as well. When Mike has time to do some more work on SCP, some of those bugs should get ironed out.

Fun fact, while taking my Uber today I found out T-Mobile doesn't have service in the Battery Tunnel. Meanwhile Sprint has Band 26 down here and I'm posting this while on it right now. It might be leaky coax or a DAS because the signal is really strong.
