I'm getting weird B41 speeds. My upload seems normal I'm getting around 10-15mbps, it's the download that's bothering me. It's like stuck below 3mbps. I'll start the speed test, it'll spike to like 6 and then slowly it goes down to 2.5 and it just stays there. What's up with that? Lol

I've had that happen several times. It's the server. Change it to another one in settings.

Are you talking about the Speedtest Server? Or something else?

Yes. When you're getting strange speedtest results, changing the server usually fixes it.

Has anyone else noticed faster ping times? My pings used to range from 45-60ms. Recently, or at least since the release of the iPhone, my LTE ping times have dropped significantly. Under 40ms in most cases. The other day I had a ping of 27ms and it surprised me. I thought it was a fluke but when I tested it again, my ping read 29ms.

Funny that you mention that, but my last 4 test on B25 have been sub 30ms.

Today along, I've only gone above 40ms once. Today my pings ranged from 23ms (in the train station) to 35ms at Grand Central. Sprint must be doing something on the backend.

I haven't started getting pings that low. Hope this is a part of optimization

Seems like b41 speeds are going down the drain lately.. can barely get over 5 mbps.. reminds me of wimax

They definitely are toying with the backhaul.

They will return back to normal. I have seen it happen for a few weeks then back to normal.

May have been a change with the backhaul provider, or a core upgrade, or possibly a new core to help handle all the traffic.

For some reason at work im stuck on a packed b25 when b41 is available. Once i go outside its fine but these b25 speeds are terrible. Like sub 1mb/s. This is at foley square/city hall.

so I put two and two together... 2 of the sites for Rigewood upgrade are on buildings that are awaiting constructions for years or on a building thats next to a proposed apartment complex which can obstruct signals.... but also in areas where I believe backhaul which we suspect to be VERIZON??  isnt avaiable... what now?

Verizon hasn't been the best in terms of backhaul. A site by Brooklyn College had been NV 3G accepted for nearly a year. Finally it was B25 accepted but for a long time and wasn't broadcasting Band 25 at all. 3G speeds reflected legacy backhaul. Luckily Clear Band 41 was in the area broadcasting from the same site. Sometime in December it finally went B25 live.
