Agreed. Don't know what the point in all of the speedtests.

We all know the configuration of Sprint's LTE network already and the speeds it produces. The other threads seem to talk about about new sites coming online, tracking them down, mapping them, etc.

Does this appear to be Sprint? Or is it something else?

Whatever it is, those taller panels weren't there before (I believe), so I assumed it was NV.

Looks like a Clearwire Wimax site to me

LTE is on in southern Brownsville around Rockaway ave. I mapped what I could last night. I believe that probably all of Brownsville is up because I've been randomly connecting to lte all the way up to Pitkin ave for the last two weeks now. I'll to to map out more today.

sprint rep told me that they were informed NYC should be done end of march.

Done by the end of March? No, not a chance. Launched at a certain percentage? Maybe.

Do not ask Sprint reps about Network Vision. They do not have the info you seek.

Not true , because before Sprint LTE was in NYC I read from a very reliable source that Sprint was going for a End of March completion for NYC the latest for us would probably be late April early May if they don't complete in time but I doubt that because Sprint is overhauling LTE for us .

There's a reason this site exists. These guys have insider info that neither you or I have. Stop questioning everything they say since they know a lot more about each individual aspect of Sprint's roll out than you or I ever will.

Per our latest completion update, Sprint has only three completed LTE sites below Central Park, and none of those are below 34th Street. So, they are all in Midtown. LTE in Lower Manhattan will not be complete by the end of this month. You can count on that. Become S4GRU Sponsors, guys, and you could see maps and statistics depicting the progress of Network Vision deployment.

I think queens has less than 10 towers up for lte. Dont see how they will finish by end of march. Not even end of april at this speed. Maybe end of the year I think.

Hearsay is not reliable.

Freedom of speech does not mean that you can say anything that you want anywhere. This is a privately owned forum, and S4GRU can most certainly restrict what you post here.

    • Their offers have been crap recently, so this is just more evidence to not buy from T-Mobile.
    • T-Mobile Will Soon Prevent Early Payoff Of Phones Receiving Bill Credits If you finance a phone with T-Mobile it will remain locked until paid off but now you won't be able to pay off early. If you don't currently purchase your phones from the manufacturer here is another reason it might be a good idea.
    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and could potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.  — — — — —  Old permit for this new install expired but a new one was recently issued. It's gonna be similar to the site at 360 Forman St in Brooklyn Heights. Permit calls for only 3 antennas to be installed so I'm assuming it gonna be Band 2/41/66 and n25/41 only which is a bit of a downgrade from the now decommissioned full build that was on 871 7th Ave but in it's current state the nearest macro is a few blocks away and a small cell at Broadway and 55th is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the area so anything helps.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
