Google Nexus 6 by Motorola (Was "Nexus X talk leaked?")

yeah it also says it has sprint ID and Direct connect.  which worries me, I don't want any carrier customization.

I guess we won't know for sure until people have them actually activated, however I am betting that every carrier will get auto-provisioned via play store a number of additional default carrier applications (which can then be full uninstalled).

This 'feature' has been mentioned in several lollipop reviews.

Did you get it? it says key lime pie instead of lollipop.

Yep, I do know shit from Shinola -- and Key Lime Pie from Lollipop.

So while I received tracking for my Note Edge, I still have not gotten anything for the Nexus 6. Anticipation is a bitch.

With Dave's gigantic phone obsession, I thought that you were going to post this...

Does Best Buy have stock in stores; that is the question.

Doesn't look like it. No Sprint store around got a note edge or nexus 6 but bestbuy seems to have the note edge in stock for sprint at every best buy.

Does anyone remember how long it was before a Nexus 5 was available I n stores? I ask to better prepare for the wait.

according to this article there was a delay with the Nexus 5.

I guess it depends on where one buys it (direct from Google, Motorola or by carrier), and where one is located at). I ordered the N6 on Sunday and it will be delivered tomorrow. (The Note Edge was also ordered and its coming today) Both through Sprint.

YMMV

So after reading the bad reviews on the Nexus 6 I got a iPhone 6 Plus.

A few things to note:

Pros:

  • TouchID is awesome
  • The display is awesome
  • The battery life is awesome
  • The build quality is awesome
  • It's ability to shift between bands and pick up LTE is awesome

Cons:

  • Notifications suck.
  • The vibrate motor is loud as hell.

I am tempted to return the 6 Plus to the Sprint store and get a nexus 6.  Will the Nexus 6 be unlocked from Sprint to work on T-mobile?  Anyone know?

priced dropped to $249.99 on sprint's website for 2 year contract. $648.00 off contract. i called in and got the difference refunded.

Very nice.  Now actually a buck less than GPS and free shipping.  Ahh decisions - keep iPhone 6 or sell it along with my old N5 and G2 to purchase a N6.  Hmmm

That's good because T-Mobile was selling both models so for the same 32/64gb model you can get with them. Sprint was charging 50 more just for the 32gb, not a good! But good news is  I may just pick up the 32 hehe now! Really want a white one though .

    • June 1st security update installed on s24 ultra factory unlocked. No functional changes detected. No play system update yet.
    • The June security update is out.
    • In China now and roaming on China Mobile with Google Fi/TMUS. 5G is enabled on roaming, however most areas in China have NSA disabled on the network. so SA is the only way to get 5G. This is only possible using a native SIM from the Chinese carriers. Also, LTE CA is disabled on basically every site, except for a few I've come across while on the bullet train.   I'm lucky enough to be in a small town where NSA is still enabled on China mobile, so I'm able to have a decent experience while roaming. Haven't speedtested much but it seems to top out at 300mbps over roaming on b3 + n41 100mhz. The networks here are dense AF and every site seems to have midband 5G deployed. Also, interesting to see that most sites have antennas branded by the carrier, or painted a certain color (which I haven't figured out what that means yet).
    • My S21FE, which is my primary phone, has burned in quite a bit from SCP.  Not sure I could get a good picture of it, so I won't try.  Helpfully, since SCP allows full customization of app colors, I'm going to see if I can't undo it a bit by flipping the colors. https://imgur.com/a/QQr5Ncv We'll see how long my eyes tolerate the change... - Trip
