Browsing my daily reddit I came across this. Sprint Nexus 6 information Basically outlining models, sim card, and potential availability at best. Not all the information in the world, but with sprint holding out, ill take what I can. I have been seeing reports that much like tmo they will offer the 32GB white model, but nothing on the 64GB.. So unsure on that tid-bit..

Sprint does it again, charging more for a device than Google. $696 for the 32 model when the 64 is $699 on Google play store. Sad.

How is that sad? Google is in a position to give hardware away in order to further the use of Android. The carriers are in a position to make money to stay in business. Why would you expect a carrier to not have a profit margin on something they sell? Sprint could care less whether we buy a Nexus 6 or an LG G3 or a Samsung S5. They need to make money on all three.

I just dislike that Sprint's variant(s) are always $50 more, when they're even more locked than T-Mobile/AT&Ts!!! AT&T's N6 will be $249 on 2/yr contract.

Who said it was locked? Nexus phones do not have carrier variants.

I'm talking about Sprint phones in general. But still, why is Sprints variant $50 more than it's competitors, for the exact same phone?

Both Sprint and T-Mobile sold the nexus 5 for more than Google had it available for on Google Play store. I wasn't going to expect the 6 to be any different.

As someone mentioned before PROFIT. For some customers buying from sprint is more convenient.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are as many Link5G sites as there are reserved small cells from franchisees in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them. — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
    • Same with factory unlocked
    • June security update is out (S22U TMO)
