Even people on here are asking, imagine the masses.  The idea of using internet while talking was one or the reasons that made me consider leaving.  For every me I can imagine how many actually left.  Without giving away the farm they can figure something out.

I just don't see what the big deal is adding tethering to plans. I heard people can purchase tethering to their plans for a certain tethering package add-on, which ought to be good enough for people on unlimited plans who need tethering.

 

On the issue of the cut your bills in half, while there are the switching costs Sprint incurs in whatever they are offering to those who switch, T-Mobile is doing the same thing for people who switch to them. It just isn't a fair comparison to compare the CYBIH promotion to T-Mobile's use of including tethering in their plans. Those are two completely separate issues.

 

If people want to suggest Sprint add tethering and enough people do so, then perhaps Sprint will consider it further. However, in all this time T-Mobile has offered it inclusive in their unlimited plans, I'd imagine Sprint thought about including it, but decided it just wasn't something they wanted to do. Seeing as it's been some time and Sprint has just recently added a new plan which still does not have tethering included, it kinda seems likely they won't do so for a while.

The biggest reason for them to add tether is the value part. Most people will likely never use it. But add it and that $80 "all-in" plan balloons to $130 to get 5GB of tethering. No more value, which is the aspect Sprint is pushing here.

With regards to tethering, it's my opinion that if I paid for data it should not matter how I use it. If that means the end of "unlimited" then by all means!

Hopefully there will be some sort of $2-$3 per gb plan soon enough. Although the lowest I can imagine starting out at right away is $45 monthly for service then that rate thereafter. It'll be interesting to see when this gets done.

It's funny how the first argument attempted was that Sprint's latency went down because they lost subscribers. Someone needs to learn their network architecture... The number of users doesn't have a drastic effect on latency.

Sprint actually gained subscribers, though. Prepaid is still using Sprint's network. I really doubt usage on Sprint's network decreased in the last few months. I bet it increased.

You brought up a good point about TmoNews.

 

I seriously expected when Cam Bunton left and Phone Dog replaced him with Alex Wagner, a man who actually lives in the U.S., that the site would get much better. What actually has happened is that the site has become much worse, at least in my opinion. There indeed are far fewer articles there and the comments sections are still on the decline of the number of comments worth reading. Particularly since that harsh ban happy mod pantherlady decided to ban Mr. Paul. He was among that she's greatest commented, among some others who've been banned there for not kissing up to T-Mobile and John Legere to that site's new standards of doing so since David Beren left.

At this point in the game it's not worth paying attention to anymore. That network that everyone said is done is creeping up from the dead and people(T-Mobile diehards) aren't too happy about it. Truth of the matter is there really isn't much difference with sprint and T-Mobile besides ATT giving T-Mobile Their lte network due to the failed merger.

 

The network is in a decline. On my mothers T-Mobile phone she was always pulling at least 50mbps now she's only doing 20mbps

Yup. AT&T was the one that built Tmobile LTE network due to the 6 billions breakup fee and AWS spectrum. Now that money is gone, and there is not more cheap spectrum for the Joker that is running the company.
