Nexus 5 still not getting LTE at towers in Waukesha that have 800/3G/4G complete.

I think they may be in testing right now, soon to be turned on. I am getting LTE from somewhere here in Pewaukee and I don't think it is the UW Waukesha tower and it certainly isn't the one at WCTC as you can see from my screen shot above.

WCTC tower is shown complete but not broadcasting LTE. I think there's another one that is but isn't marked.

I've said before, I'm even pleased that 1900 with the upgrades is a little stronger.

I was getting as low as -84 signal for LTE on Main St. at the stoplights at the entrance of WCTC.  Figured it was either that tower or the water tower at 164 & Capitol... but the further I got from WCTC, the signal weakened.  Not sure where else it would be coming from.

Compared to at home, I'm less than a mile from the tower I connect to and I'm getting -100 to -95 LTE on that tower.  1900 1X/EV pre-NV, I used to get -70s to -60s.

I know people are celebrating in Madison, but is this is as good as we are going to get? The coverage on the isthmus is still terrible, which is a shame since that's where most people are...

Come on man, we've covered this. The few towers that cover that area in Madison are still in progress. And they always "work their way in" from the less populated areas to minimize disruptions in service and what-not. So the ones on the isthmus will probably get turned on some time soon.

Does anyone know if the tower on Calhoun in New Berlin has new equipment installed yet?  I know its not accepted yet but I think it might be turned on now due to the fact that I am able to hold 3 bars of EVDO (-99 db) at my desk at work when I previously had a hard time hanging on to 1x and would frequently switch to 1x on Verizon.  If this is how much stronger every tower with the new equipment gets, maybe I can get rid of my Airave!

Yeah, there are only 5 towers left with 0 upgrades on them in the whole Madison area and they're all on the isthmus. I'm going to check out the two that had no equipment previously today in about an hour and try to get some shots.  I know things are still going on around here as we just had a tower accepted 2 reports ago after that huge flurry.  So, no its not done, its going to get way, way better man.  On my drive in, I had some weird data flipping going on, so perhaps that change is imminent.Update: went by those 2 towers downtown that didn't have equipment visible before and they still don't appear to have any. The signal downtown Madison is all 1xRTT with triangulated tower addresses.

I want to say the LTE equipment has been on that tower for several months now.. . I have not been around that tower in a couple of days but I suspect it is transmitting 1 x 800 today...please check by downloading the latest version of LTE discovery from the play store. The reason I say this is today the tower down the road on College and about Tess in Muskego was transmitting 1 x 800 but no LTE and the tower on National Ave just off of Racine Ave (Rock Freeway tower) is also transmitting 1 x 800 but I was on the phone at the time and assume this also is not active LTE. The I-43 tower on Mooreland I have no idea either, but I suspect it may be running 800 also. The strange thing is I again started picking up LTE on the Muskego West water tower off of Racine and Janesville even earlier at my home in Vernon last night. It started around 5:00, but today I am again at work today not more then a 1/2mile away and it has neither 1 x 800 or LTE so I guess I am not sure what is going on except the NV network around here is clearly ready to be active soon. And in regards to the speed and signal, I was never able to hold a great signal coming down the hill into Muskego on Racine and today I was on hold with a merchant and saw my signal strength and voice quality stay solid that entire way. I was on the 1 x800 tower from I-43 the whole time. Also, right now the EVDO data from the water tower off of Racine is giving me  2.1mg down and just under 1mg up. Not Bad.. the good stuff is coming....

I have an iPhone so no LTE Discovery app for me.  I can confirm through the field test app that I am not on 1x800.

I saw all kinds of 1x800 yesterday while at work, coming from like 4-5 different sites in Waukesha/Pewaukee. Today I'm not seeing any 800. I'm guessing they'll turn em back on within the next few days or a week though. Testing....

The Calhoun tower and I43-Beloit Rd were both marked as 3G complete!  I knew something was different today.  I can't believe how much better NV signal reaches compared to legacy equipment.

Interesting, does 3g complete have anything to do with NV antenna finished also? Or is it possible to get that with just the lower part done.  I am quite certain the High Power line tower in Big Bend/Vernon has no NV antenna on top of the tower.  Maybe they snuck them in on me.. have not been past that in a week or two.. The strange thing is the 2nd last time I was out there the Samsung Programmer was parked under the tower. I thought that weird since there was no NV antenna up top.... Any help here?

This was covered like two pages ago. Some low density towers, such as this one can be 3g complete by only upgrading the ground equipment. I believe they call it GMO (Ground Mount Option)? In this case, they can be 3g complete, and the remainder of the upgrades (1x800, 3g 800, and LTE 1900 and 800) will come at a later time.
