Getting great speeds on B41 a couple of blocks from Times Square. Near 60Mbps.

Wow that's pretty good for tsq. I can't even get up to 30 mbps in upper Manhattan on B41. I feel alot of triband phones are being added each and every day. Which is great. Just surprised you can pull a 60 in such a dense area.

I hit 50's and 60's on a few sites, in midtown, but average is closer to 35

I have yet to hit above 37, I just want to hit it once. :)

(what's the theoretical upload speed of band 25 and band 41 again?)

B25 around 10mb and 20mb on B41..

Was at Yankee Stadium last night for the game, and I have to say, disappointed by the network there. We had B25 from the macro coming into the bleachers, but the throughput was so bad that I ended up switching to 3G only to upload pictures.

I can't wait for 2.5 to show up there, would make life much easier on us.

This has been my fastest b41 test. Which is great, but just want Crack the 37 mark once.

Use the Ookla app. Sensoly tends to have much slower results because they have to few servers and you can't pick which one you are using.

I use both. For me the difference has been negligible so far. But will keep trying both.

Ok I'm in times Square right niw. I'm pretty impressed how well its holding b41. Still no 37. But very impressed as opposed to what I've been experiencing in upper Manhattan.

I find that speed itself with a decent server is between 5-10mb faster on ookla, also the pings are worlds better..

Welcome to NYC! Your running on .15 radio?

Naturally lol. Haven't seen any B26 but I'm on the lookout. Seem to have intermittent 1x800 in some areas.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find B26, maybe a bit too soon. Its also gotten to the point where B25 signal is too strong for me to even pick up B41.

We need that update like yesterday!

Maybe it's different being in New York, but I know that I always see a 3-10Mbps difference, as well as a huge difference on Pings between Sensorly and Ookla.

I'm honestly not sure once you get the update it's going to help on the Nexus 5. Even with my HTC One max I get stuck on band 25, it doesn't lock onto Band 41 until the signal degrades. I don't know if that's due to them doing software updates here in certain parts of the city.

The thing about the Nexus 5 is that B41 is always last to be scanned..so no matter what! It wont connect unless B25 is lower than -110dBm

Well look what I found too! This time in upper Manhattan. Might be coming across from the Bronx though. Great day for b26.

Its possible its coming from either the bronx or Washington heights! Or it could possibly be a cluster launch! What kind of speeds were you getting?

Considering your signal is pretty good, Id bet on a Manhattan site..

There is band 26 in upper Manhattan I am pretty sure I connected for a split second on my commute downtown.

    • Two s24 ultras, both say fully up to date. One has T-Mobile and Verizon network, Service provider software version 17, carrier config version 2, and few apps [google play system March 1], other with T-Mobile, Dish Rainbow Sim, Verizon Network (inactive), Service provider software version 19, no carrier config, and many apps [Google play system April 1]
    • Since T-Mobile is testing the fiber waters for a time when FWA needs to be paired back, here is an article comparing the two costs (performance differences not mentioned): https://www.fierce-network.com/broadband/nextlink-ceo-compares-fixed-wireless-fiber.
    • Checked and found a 2.7mb Google Play System 'security' update pending.   Post install the update date still showing April 1st however.
    • The May security update is out.
    • A new SignalCheck Pro update is now available on Google Play! Notable changes: Improved duplicate LTE GCI cleanup function. Duplicates with the greater number of recorded connection 'hits' will now be kept. Duplicate entries appear for a variety of reasons but can cause neighbor cell notes to display improperly. Strongly recommend running this cleanup function occasionally. Improved site note logging functionality. Better matching of co-located cells and prior Sprint sites. Overhauled display functions to fully re-sync all information when reopening app or with swipe-down gesture. The swipe-down gesture now essentially restarts the core functions of the app. Other changes: Added 5G-NR band to notification pulldown title. Added accent colors for additional wireless providers. Added option to disable street address geocoding when editing a site note; coordinates will populate instead. Code optimizations and enhancements. Improved identification of unregistered 5G-NR cells. Improved LTE PLMN identification on some devices. Resolved issue with log import proceeding when log backup fails. Resolved issue with some 5G-NR connections displaying improper band. Resolved issue with some 5G-NR neighbor cells displaying improper band. Updated internal libraries. As always, I appreciate everyone's support. Dual SIM bugs are *still* being ironed out but it is a priority to resolve. Thanks!
