Network Vision/LTE - New York City Market

Now that is my issue too. Why does backhaul takes so long? It's like these companies don't want to make any money. They take forever to come and hook backhaul.

In my experience, there is a process for a process, which involves a process by a committee of simultaneous processes all to process and proceed.

And sometimes the process (permitting, equipment purchasing, backhaul ordering etc) is done bassackwards. Hindsight is 20/20 though...

Wouldnt it be great to live in the expidited Chicago market where lte and 800mhz voice and NV is virtually done. Granted in the beginning it was a mess (calls constantly being dropped and the network was virtually un usable) but i would live with that for a few months to have the market upgraded as fast as CHi Town. lol backhaul delays yeah right...If sprint lit fire under them they would get things done they way they did in chicago..Its all business and unfortunatly they are working at their own speed. More billable hours i guess.

Got LTE in Dumbo by the waterfront on Sunday. 2 bars ~3 MB/s down.

To be honest the 3 MB/s down felt like 70 because I've been so used to my ridiculously slow "3G".

I know that feeling , I remember when I first got LTE , it was amazing super fast & reliable loved it. My 3G experience has been getting better I must say. Speeds are consistant & usable to some extent , im enjoying it .

All the switching from 3G to 2G to LTE is killing my battery... Anyone have any suggestion to saving battery while we wait for NV to stabilize?

I turn off data in general since I mostly text and use areas with wifi. I turn data back on from time to time.

I leave LTE off until needed. Luckily, with my ROM there's no need to restart. I know TouchWiz needs to.

I'm getting weak signal in my house too and I'm right by the window. I think I can see the panels outside my window too. Don't know if it is sprint or not. Getting around rsrp -101dbm rsrq 13 db and snr 1.6db

I don't really get a steady signal in my house. But as of a week ago, I got no signal at all, which says that their are more LTE towers coming in!

I feel like the downtikt must have been adjusted near my house because I walk the sake way to the train station everyday and recently I have been picking up weak LTE signals. On the map, the LTE tower is so close to my home yet the signal drips off so quickly.

Maybe it's being optimized?

...yet the signal drips off so quickly.

A little nasal decongestant will clear that right up.

Awesome! Nothing solid around my house yet. Only weak signals 110+ dB. Other than that I had the most pleasant LTE experience on my commute this morning and this afternoon on the 4 train. Solid speeds from 170th to Bedford Park. :-)

There's some decent signal on the 161st 4 train platform too. It just needs to reach up the block to my apartment now. Lol

Same with me. My signal is in the -100's indoors but outdoors it is in the -90's. I could only imagine my signal if I had one if those Galaxy devices or iPhone.

Would the RF antenna make that much of a difference in the iPhone 5 or Galaxy 3/Note?
