It's at the Luminair Casino. In probably spelled it wrong. ..

Well that explains it! I can see the Lumiere from my office building.

Although this is fantastic, I would rather it be a 4G tower ;)

Given the site density in downtown STL, it will be hard to tell for certain what site you are connected too. It's possible that the one that regularly serves your area had a backhaul upgrade or something to that effect. Although if you are getting signals in places you didn't before, you could probably chalk that up to the new site. Which by the way, isn't on the casino part of the building. It's actually the hotel part, which is across the street err parking lot.

If everyone can see Lumiere, we should all grab lunch downtown sometime. I work right across from Busch Stadium (for the next week, at lest, then, off to Westportish).

These probably aren't the best pictures, or the ones I needed to post, but I just took pictures of everything I saw. This site was the one in Florissant.

(images removed see the post on Dec 27)

Was this pole there when you where on the 27th? It doesn't look like its been there long.

Maybe they are trying to make this a Springfield like site :)

I also saw a couple of guys a few blocks from the site that were dressed like cable contractors. White hard hats and florescent green vests. They were pointing at a cell tower in the distance and then across the street as I drove past. Backhaul I'm hoping but probably just Charter working on a outage. They were in a vacant lot that had too steep of a grade to put much on however so maybe not.

I can't really remember, but I don't recall seeing that there at all.

I'm not entirely sure... yeah the building I'm in has visible line of sight to the Lumiere, but I'm actually closer to the stadium, so its hard to say if the new site is responsible for my 3G boost or not. Still, its nice to get data inside the garage.

Last night the tower at lumiere was giving me trouble. I made a phone call near it, with my phone reading full bars, but the call was choppy and it eventually dropped when I got closer to the casino. It must have been connecting to a second tower, whose range I eventually left. The phone still read full bars but I couldn't make a call. I tried sweet taking to my phone, but it only shunned my advances. unfortunately it was dark and I wasn't sure where the panel was so I couldn't spot any work being done.

Interesting... now we have Joplin and Branson on the list' date=' yet no sign of work in those towns yet.[/quote']

Plus Kingman and Lake Havasu City, AZ. I can't even get permit info for those towns. :(

I will be in Branson over Spring Break. It would be cool if there was some LTE to dork around with.

I will also probably be there. Even at my age, I still love to go there (for silverdollar city).

Anyone checked Joplin for signs of work in progress this last week? Three months since Sprint announced Joplin as in coming months... I'm hopping the get going so the rest of the state will follow soon.

Somebody reported LTE for 30 minutes this morning in Joplin. No marks on Sensorly. I'm not sure if it was real or not at this point.

if anyone is around the area and can report on this, that would be great. I was thru the town Monday, checked 4 sites with no activity at all. Thanks!

Did you check for ground mount RRU's and Ericsson cabinets? They could have some GMO sites.
