  1. How often does this happen? Hopefully it's just a network issue and not a phone issue.
  2. Glad to hear that. Sounds very promising that it's working well.
  3. How are everyone's iPhone 11 series devices working?
  4. That's a good question. It's theoretically possible, but I've never tried it. I'd have to pay off my iPhone and get it unlocked just to try it, and I really don't want to spend the extra $500 right now.
  5. Glad to hear it's working better now.
  6. Go into your phone's Personal Hotspot settings, turn off the hotspot, and turn it back on. I did that earlier and my MacBook Pro started connecting again.
  7. I wonder if it's a bug that is supposed to be fixed in iOS 13.1. My MacBook Pro refuses to connect to my iPhone XR, which I updated first.
  8. Thank you. That’s good to know that it sounds like the modem is better than the XS Max.
  9. Congrats! Glad to hear you got it! Good thing I didn't order a day 1 phone again. I hate activation nightmares. Yes, when I get my Apple Watch Series 5 I'm going to go for the AppleCare monthly plan as well. It's nice to know we can have our devices covered until discontinuation.
  10. So, for those who ordered and received today, how is the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, or 11 Pro Max?
  11. Ouch! That would certainly suck if that ever happened to me.
  12. Well, thanks to PCMac, they confirmed that the iPhone 11, 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max have Intel modems. They got to see the Field Test menu. https://www.macrumors.com/2019/09/17/iphone-11-models-intel-modems/
  13. I'm not ordering one. I'm going to sit this one out.
  14. Here's a bar graph that was tweeted out:
  15. iPhone 11: iPhone 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max:
  16. On Twitter. @WiWavelength did an RF Review. I'll try to post them later.
  17. No, but from what I've read online, it appears that the Antennas do have somewhat better performance than the XS & XS Max. I'm on SWAC, so I can't upgrade there. Oh well.
  18. Got any details you can divulge? sprint tried to call me earlier today, but I was busy and couldn’t answer and didn’t have time to call back. They could have just DM’d me the details.
  19. T-Mobile is doing half off with trade in, and I’m still waiting for Sprint to respond on twitter, but I’m not going to hold my breath. Not sure about VZ or AT&T.
  20. Lets hope that it will be a far better modem than what was in the 2018 iPhone's. We will find out on the 20th. I did sign up for Priority Status, so let's see what promo's Sprint will give to existing customers.
  21. @Brad The Beast I sure hope they have Qualcomm modems again too. Although I won't be getting a new phone this year. Bought a new MacBook Pro 2 months ago, so I'll be skipping out this upgrade cycle. I will be getting a new Apple Watch though. Just not decided on Series 4 for a cheaper price, or go for Series 5.
  22. Potential benchmark released this morning. https://www.macrumors.com/2019/09/02/geekbench-a13-iphone-xr-2019/
  23. Well, since Apple invited the media to Steve Jobs Theater on September 10th, it's time to make a thread. Post rumors, thoughts for specs you'd like to see, if you are considering acquiring a 2019 iPhone, and any other info. I do know that I will not be getting the 2019 iPhone. I however will consider a Series 5 Watch depending on the feature set, or may just go for a Series 4 if the price is right. (This first post will be updated on September 10th with launch information from the event.) Updated with better invitation photo, linked here from MacRumors website.
  24. I was against this merger from the beginning. And now, after seeing that Sprint & T-Mobile are willing to divest spectrum, I'm more against it than ever before. Hacking apart 2 companies to make 2 more makes absolutely no sense. T-Mobile and Sprint have way too much debt now, and they will have even more after the merger. At this point, the FCC should withdraw their approval, the DOJ should sue to stop it, and the 2 companies should just go another route. There are plenty of other companies that have plenty of money and can afford to absorb the debt load of either company. Otherwise, if Sprint & T-Mobile are allowed to merge, prices will have to be raised to astronomical proportions just to afford the monthly debt payments, and even then, The New T-Mobile could still fail, the new 4th carrier could still fail, and where would we be? 2 nationwide cellular carriers! This show from Legere and Claure needs to stop! It's gone off the deep end!
