They  should get rid of the overages and activation fees. That are two of the things making them anti consumers. For over a year he has been throwing a bunch of plans to the wall trying to see which ones stick on it. Sprint main problem has been the network and trying to act like the Twin bells with overages and activation fees.

You  can do those things when you are in a position of strength not when you are struggling.

Im not going to read through all the pages but i wanted to set the record straight. This isnt like old cut in half. Now if you switch from tmobile you can pick any of their current plans and we will cut it in half. It doesnt matter what you currently are on.

Same goes for att/verizon. Pick any of their plans and we give 50% off.

So you just pick the plan you want based on the other carrier's current offerings, and Sprint slashes that in half, and you don't have to go to respective carrier to switch to that plan first? That sounds like a decent deal. Now to find people who I can get to switch. I still have $400 in referral rewards I can earn this year.

You have to port in 1 line from that carrier. But you can add lines with out porting and we cut the access fee in half for the added line.

Also includes unlimited 2g which old cybih did not.

ohhh come on now... they only have

1.starter unlimited plans

2. unlimited plans

3.family share plans

4.free amazon prime on select phones

5.21,22,24 month lease

6. 24 month easy pay

7. cut your plan in half (ends tomorrow)

8. cut your plan in half 2.0? (1.0 plus T mobile but missing music freedom and binge on)

I am sure im missing some but its not ultra complicated for new customers.... a ton of legacy plans tho...

According to Twitter they announced 28 day test drive on the conference call

That would be GREAT news!

EDIT: It appears that it's ONLY a 28 day return period, instead of 14 days. That's a nice bump, but signing up for Sprint service to try it out is lame. T-Mobile does the same thing now only 30 days...gotta sign up for service to "try it out".

That is amazing.

For current customers - the only incentives to stay is a good network with plan for continued improvement. Begging people to stay with a carrot is bad for business/not necessary.

All new plans and new cybih have no overages. I agree on the act fees.

Well geez that makes a difference actually. I think my sister is on a 6GB plan at T-Mobile so if she chooses the 10GB plan to match her usage that is a decent deal really. That 7 year old sucks at explaining it fully.

It should have been a simple video that goes:

"AT&T,TMOBILE,VERIZON CUSTOMERS: STARTING NOVEMBER 20TH PICK ANY PLAN AT YOUR CURRENT CARRIER EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ON THAT PLAN AND WE WILL TAKE 50% OFF YOUR BILL."

ANY PLAN.

50% OFF.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?"

etc

don't forget, sprint does not match, data stash, music freedom or binge on.... not that it matters to everyone but its something to remember.

Nice - you can port from Cricket or MetroPCS and get half off their parent companies' rate plans.

I think that this article, like we did, overlooked that you can choose any plan from the carrier your porting in from (with the exception of T-Mobile Unlimited) and get that in half. Previously Sprint only offered you the same plan as the one you're porting in from with half the price. I think that's an interesting difference that makes it kinda worth it.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and could potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.  — — — — — The old permit expired for this site without any work being done but a new permit was just approved a few days ago for a T-Mobile site at this address. Description mentions 3 antennas with 2 RRUs per sector. My guess is they're doing something similar to what they did at 360 Furman St in Brooklyn where they broadcast Band 2/66 and n25/41 from one antenna. It's a bit of a downgrade considering the site it's replacing was a full build with Ericsson 6449s.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
