Is anyone else seeing a different Sprint.com website?  It looks totally different, at least on the main page?

This URL should get you there: http://www.sprint.com/tnt22/index-base.html

Congrats to Sprint for the 360 turnaround in Kansas!!

They obviously didn't factor in the east side of the city very heavily. Makes me wonder about these tests. But this rating is impressive considering that I've heard they haven't finished rolling out B41 in Wichita.

If you can't see the new site, try clearing your browser cache and refresh.

I see the new front page using that link. Very nice! When I sign in though, it's the same old layout and colors, etc as before, even after clearing my browser cache.

Yes, I downgraded. :-D

Nice so far but I'm sure...well I hope that the rest of the website will be converted over the next few days. *crossing fingers for a new map*

There is a map on the report page that shows the testing area. Tests are distributed throughout that area.

No, the RootMetrics methodology is fine.  It may not be perfect, but it is the best available -- more systematic and rigorous than the assessments of any casual wireless users.  And the east side was tested thoroughly and equally just as it should be.  You are just fixating on an area where you have experienced service that you deemed less than satisfactory.

Make no mistake, it is not just me who has these issues. Tower spacing is a big problem for sprint on the east side. It is entirely possible that all the carriers have the same issues though so it didnt hurt sprint as much relative to the other carriers. Perhaps by the end of the year they'll be #1 in wichita?

NE Wichita in particular, especially along the K-96 corridor is mediocre.  But is improving with B26.  Three well placed sites out that way would probably put Sprint as #1, handily.  But this still shows that Sprint is competitive in Wichita, in fact, among the best.  But Sprint customers know every place where it's not good, and focus on them.

I am an AT&T customer, and all the places they are not great drive me nuts.  But I would still believe RootMetrics report on my area about AT&T.  Even if they said they were tied with VZW.

Whats this about free international data roaming? Is that coming to other plans?

http://www.sprint.com/landings/unlimited-plus-samsung-galaxy/index.html#!/

Supposedly throttled at 2G speeds; specific country list:

  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • Costa Rica
  • El Salvador
  • Germany
  • Guatemala
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • Nicaragua
  • Panama
  • Russia
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom

Hopefully they can broaden the coverage (*cough* Canada) and make this option available on all unlimited plans.

Yeah they're definitely behind TMO on the international thing.

It's not like the countries picked are solely up to Sprint. The foreign careers have to play ball and the economics have to work as well.

Sure but gotta admit, not having Canada while having Guatemala is an absolute joke.

If you look at the Sprint user base here in NJ and surrounding states it probably makes more sense.
