mc_gusto
You better be praying hard and sacrificing a lamb if you expect a pink color to all of a sudden contain triband LTE support. Samsung and Sprint are done with hardware modifications to the phone. All Samsung and Sprint will do at this point is just make maintenance and upgrade software updates. There is no precedent of any smartphone ever where a later release of a new color of the phone caused a change in the internals of the device. Someone over in the s4 thread must've sacrificed a lot lambs. Ppl in here better start doing the same I guess.
koiulpoi
The whole warranty thing. I won't be denied warranty for rooting if my USB port dies or my screen craps out. It's BS. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk 4 Just so you (and everyone else talking about Knox) knows... you may lose your warranty from Samsung, but if you're paying for Sprint's ESRP in-store-coverage option (part of TEP), you'll still be covered. I have yet to meet anyone who says "refuse service to rooted people". Quite the opposite, in fact.
Lateck
Any one received the new up-date? I have been surfing and I have read that it was announced yesterday. (Android Central, Phone Reviews and a few more). Said to improve the voice issue and a keyboard issue?..... Lateck,
gilmikalian
I got it and I didn't even have any voice or keyboard issues. Sent from my L.A. Cellular phone.

Xlegendxero
I know the Note 3 doesn't support LTE on 800 or 2600. Yet I found this on a Note 3 inside a Best Buy. Kinda odd. Software issue on the touchwiz rom? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Software issue on the touchwiz rom? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk Yeah we discussed it back on release day. Most likely those are just leftovers from when Samsung was testing triband functionality on prototypes. If you grab your msl code and enable them, they won't stay on. The hardware isn't likely there. The best evidence for the lack of hardware support is the perfectly functioning SVLTE. All other triband devices lack SVLTE.
Xlegendxero
This was on an unactivated device inside a Best Buy. It's not mine. It was still trying to provision. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Lateck
Any one received the new up-date? I received it last night when I went looking for it, using the Software up-date button. 22.98Mb's, I'll test it later today. Lateck,

Lateck
Did the Note 3 just die off???? No new posts in a long while. I feel the latest up-date did fix the phone issue, at least the voice part. Lateck,
smorcy11
So I need to dump the Nexus 5 due to the triband issues heavily being discussed in the other sections. Going to be taking it back this week for refund. I'm looking at the Note 3 as a possibility, not sure if my small hands can handle the size, lol. Regardless of that, are there any issues you would warn me on? Sent from my Nexus
Yuhfhrh
Regardless of that, are there any issues you would warn me on? Sent from my Nexus 5 Most likely you will fall in love with the size and be unable to move back to a smaller device. I have small hands and I have had no problems with the size. Check out the one handed mode feature if you're concerned about the size. All it takes is a quick gesture to turn it into a 4" display.

Regardless of that, are there any issues you would warn me on? Sent from my Nexus 5 Isn't the Note 3 struggling with voice problems? Also, why would you want to get locked in to a two year contract on a uniband phone? You wanted a Triband phone, and now you're wanting to give in for instant gratification. The problems with Triband devices are going to be fixed rather quickly. About half the sites will be fixed in 30 days. The remainder will have the number of affected sites reduced by half every 30 days. 3-4 months from now, there will only be a few places where Triband LTE devices are having problems. However, the Note 3 will be on one band for the next two years. And that will only get worse and worse every month. If I were you, I would either hold on to a Triband device now, or give it back and go back to your previous device until the CSFB issue is worked out in your area. Then pick up a Triband device. But going to a uniband device is trading in for a different set of problems. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

The biggest thing is how long it will take to get the 3G updates on and the triband devices working properly. You're right, it may be best for me to wait on the upgrade and then see what is available. Sent from my Nexus
Lateck
Smorcy11; As I noted in my post (or thought I did) the voice issue has been fixed. There is still the WiFi issue, where the Note 3 drops poor WiFi very quickly. But I use the Note as a PDA, so it works very well. As for the "Tri-band" thing; How many locations have it? For me, I barely have LTE ( 1~2 bars at night). So, why worry about tri-band? (For me). I can never willfully go to a smaller phone or one without most of the Note 3's features. (My Note 2 is still good and I use it via WiFi). My 2 cents, Lateck.
DCLocal
As mentioned already, the voice quality has been resolved with the last update and for me, the phone is now pretty much perfect. As for the tri-band issue, it is an unfortunate omission for an otherwise truly flagship device. But in reality it is not a big issue, at least for me, as signal and general data speed (even with a few bars) are very good. I my case, a significant upgrade from my previous HTC EVO 4G LTE. I love this phone!
transitwatch889
I actually got to play with the Galaxy Note 3 today and the white one is pretty boss! It's almost the perfect size I really like it and I hope that they come out with the update that supports triband once triband is more widely accepted like they may for the s4...
