Something is going on with band 25 lte, it is showing but not any data coming across, had to switch my phone over to 3G mode only. Been happening since yesterday, and no it is not my phone. Sprint knows.

Is this out in the burbs? Only having moderate SMS issues here in the city. Been bouncing between B41 and B25 without any major issue.

Lets put it this way, It has covered my whole 4G footprint from Reston all the way up to Harrisburg International Airport in Harrisburg, Pa, and it is affecting Shentel too. And the same is going on on my Tab 3 7.0 also. Had to switch that over to 3G to use. This was going west out of Dulles Airport by Greenway, going up US 15 out of Leesburg. I only have Band 25 devices.

That explains why I was having trouble with both data and SMS the other day.

At Nationals playoff game last night. Sell out crowd and tested 45 MB down and 15 up. Uploaded lots of pictures and had a video chat with no problems

Definitely a good place to test things out, especially under a heavy load such as a sold out ball game.

Agreed... Wrong thread!

Wrong thread? I'm in NW Washington DC. I have an iPhone 6.

I think I'm picking up Spark because I'm getting speeds of 40.70 Mbps down/9.15 Mbps up with a latency of 45ms.

However, I have no idea what LTE band it is. So I'm here asking what tools people are using so they can tell what band they're on.

If you can help with this, I'd appreciate it. If not, then what thread should I be asking this question in?

You have to utilize the IOS field test mode screens to look at the info.

  • 2 weeks later...

This is not probably the same market, but my mother in law is picking up Sprint LTE in Mt Airy (Frederick County) in house and outside... It keeps stretching towards Frederick... Be nice if it progressed enough by Christmas even if its not official. :)

Actually, Mt. Airy is the last stop before you cross into the ever lucky Baltimore market. It seems every so slowly backhaul is being delivered and LTE is going on-air. Maybe do some yoga or zen exercises while you wait.  :)
