Network Vision/LTE - New York City Market

That's cool, but I still am a iPhone fan.

Lets get 800 rolled out ASAP!

When's 2500mhz being rolled out?

NYC is already full of band 41, clearwire has been actively converting their sites for a while. Someone out there is using a Triband hotspot and probably getting  40mb/s+ on band 41 as we speak.

Waiting on the One Max!

Believe it or not, im thinking of going for the Note 3. I love my HTC ONE, but the metal housing (and maybe other factors) definitely makes the signal a bit weaker than my old GS3. Doing a side by side comparison its always 3-4 dBm stronger than my ONE. Are theyre any confirmed reports of the Max coming to sprint? cause that would add to my list of phones to consider.

I'm not getting 40mb, more like 20ish.

I always did like HTC phones, but my Note 2 I really love and although the signal the Note 2 gets is very good I assume the Note 3 will be the same or better. So once the Note 3 is out and the HTC One Max I am sure between AJ's excellent synopsis, anandtechs' review as well as Lisa' mobiletech reviews I am sure we can get a good feeling as to the devices signal capturing capabilities.

My EVO tends to hold a 3G signal considerably better than my Aunt's GS3. LTE is a different story though. My phone will drop LTE at -126dbm and at other tines it'll drop at -110dbm.

It's amazing how lower manhattan is still a dead zone... Only 3 towers 3G accepted. Amazing... Bayside Queens is still LTE free... Almost at the end of 3rd quarter of 2013.... Amazing...

Im starting to get the feeling that any other backhaul vendor besides Optimum, are taking their sweet ass time! Also read an article about how verizon is giving up on patching up the old copper lines and opting to go all fiber and that could also be causing more delays due to an influx of more work because of Hurricane Sandy.

This is true about Verizon copper lines my area was upgraded to fiber after sandy hit. I have a big ass first box just for a phone line... I use optimum for Internet 55 dollars a month for 50/25mbps (actually more like 59/25)..Actually nd no tax!

I think Optimum is #1 in overdelivering for performance. They are the gold standard in ISP's.

Brooklyn has good LTE service. What makes me angry is that there are two towers that I have been watching forever. They got 3G accepted at the beginning on Network Vision but never got 4G accepted ever since. I've watched towers around them get LTE, but never the exact tower that i want.

Which towers were those?

Over WIFI, and signal strength in -80dB, to -90dB.

The general consensus is that you loose quite a bit of performance over Wifi vs USB (20-40%) and generally speaking N wireless radio is limited. Until they start building these things with AC wireless standard (HTC ONE has it and can Blaze at speeds over 300mb/s) But, at that signal strength I expected well over 20mb/s speeds.
