Paynefanbro
Robert was right! Last year he said Sprint will probably do a borough launch for NYC because it is so large and sure enough, Sprint is going to announce Brooklyn and the Bronx by July 30th! http://m.cnet.com/news/sprint-finally-brings-4g-lte-to-new-york----sort-of/57595197

Paynefanbro
Are they stating on launch for these Boros that they are both 100% complete? Oh no! Definitely not! It is just to give the technically challenged people incentive to stay on the networking join the network. Looking at Sensorly and the Nv Sites Complete map, we can see that Brooklyn and the Bronx have progressed the most in terms of LTE.

Dkoellerwx
I think Sprint marketing must be feeling the pinch of T-Mobile's LTE announcement. Along with the NYC boroughs, they are also launching Philadelphia, Jacksonville FL, and Nashville, TN, none of which really have the coverage to be launched yet. Paynefanbro
Told you! 6 updates and 2 were LTE! And you guys were complaining about no updates.
twospirits
Within that same announcement they mention getting all 277 underground subway stations to receive Sprint wireless voice and data. pretty cool although it will take up to a year (or more) for all to get it.
Paynefanbro
I am so against this. Everytime I hit 23rd Street, I here phones go off on the train.
Keitarou
I'm all for it. Don't know how many times I wished I can make a call to say the trains are delayed and will be late. Edit: At least make it data only so I can text or email it at least.
LTEBrooklyn
my guess is that they have completed all or majority of Brooklyn and haven't turned on sites like they had earlier and brooklyn and Bronx will be all lit up on the 30th. It's gonna be crazy!
