Robert was right! Last year he said Sprint will probably do a borough launch for NYC because it is so large and sure enough, Sprint is going to announce Brooklyn and the Bronx by July 30th!

Oh no! Definitely not! It is just to give the technically challenged people incentive to stay on the networking join the network. Looking at Sensorly and the Nv Sites Complete map, we can see that Brooklyn and the Bronx have progressed the most in terms of LTE.

I think Sprint marketing must be feeling the pinch of T-Mobile's LTE announcement. Along with the NYC boroughs, they are also launching Philadelphia, Jacksonville FL, and Nashville, TN, none of which really have the coverage to be launched yet.

Within that same announcement they mention getting all 277 underground subway stations to receive Sprint wireless voice and data. pretty cool although it will take up to a year (or more) for all to get it.

I'm all for it. Don't know how many times I wished I can make a call to say the trains are delayed and will be late.

 

Edit: At least make it data only so I can text or email it at least.
