And how's it's range? Does the LTE go very far?

According to reports, whole house coverage.

Personally I run a magical box which works extremely well as long as it doesn't hook up to b25.

Going to call customer service tomorrow or my contact, everything seems to be connected correctly during self configuration but not receiving any signal on 7+, 6p or tab 4.

I tried wifi on and off....

Wow that looks so familiar! I hope you get it fixed. It's a very useful device.

netiher do I really but would be better to get off of b25/b26 to quit the band switching to save battery....

But does it support carrier aggregation?

what's the difference between the 2 devices?

Airave 3 needs a copper ethernet connection for backhaul.

Magic box (lte + booster) only requires a B25/41 connection present so that it can use LTE relay for backhaul.

I use to pick up a steady b41 connection now I mainly get 25/26 and a now cell edge 41 (120+ on signal). I wonder if I qualify for LTE booster?

Unlikely.

Restricted to certain people or businesses only.

You'll have a better chance with the airave 3 in the next few weeks.

I know a few weeks ago I was on a call with Sprint dealing with my data issue and a rep offered a airave to me and I said no thinking it was like the one I had back in 2010 because I had issues with calling. So thinking back it was probably the Airave 3 the rep was referring it.

I think I'll just stick to my current Airave 2.5...

Chances are, the Airave 3 with LTE requires a certain amount of bandwidth (like at the least, a 25mbps down / 5mbps up connection)...

I doubt VERY seriously I could get very much LTE use with the new one, as AT&T only gives me 5.9mbps down / 0.5kbps up.. (yeah, KBPS)...

That upload is the killer. If I'm trying to PS4 game with R6 Siege and someone starts streaming amazon music, it kicks me out of my game...that's crappy.

And I'm sure AT&T isn't in any hurry to get us better internet speeds around here. They enjoy ripping me for those extra 2 or 3 data packs they slap on me each month at $10 per 50gbs...

I'm so disgusted with that company...I can't put enough adjectives together to express what I wish would happen to them...

I do appreciate having 2 separate 24 pair fiber lines under my driveway...it's good to know that I can see the DSLAM that provides us all this crappy connection while standing in my yard (it's only about 100' away from my house).

I guess if the Fed ever regulates anything like internet, maybe they'll use G.Fast or something to give us better speeds -- and maybe even a competitive price. But we're not even 6 months into 2017 and AT&T has jacked my DSL up twice since January. $1 as of Feb 1st and $2 as of May 1st.

I'm at $61 now. 8 years ago it was $47.95 for naked DSL....

Wonder if it will be as simple as asking for one?  It was that simple for the AirWave 2.5 and Asus Router.  Just ask and I shall receive!

Don't really need it at all.  Would love it for the 2.5GHz.  What kind of range does it have?  I wouldn't mind being my neighborhoods little B41 microcell, lol.  I got 1Gbps backhaul and the local tower doesn't have B41 yet.  Area is growing up and needs it.

It looks as though they changed the headline to something more professional now.

    • Since this is kind of the general chat thread, I have to share this humorous story (at least it is to me): Since around February/March of this year, my S22U has been an absolute pain to charge. USB-C cables would immediately fall out and it progressively got worse and worse until it often took me a number of minutes to get the angle of the cable juuuussst right to get charging to occur at all (not exaggerating). The connection was so weak that even walking heavily could cause the cable to disconnect. I tried cleaning out the port with a stable, a paperclip, etc. Some dust/lint/dirt came out but the connection didn't improve one bit. Needless to say, this was a MONSTER headache and had me hating this phone. I just didn't have the finances right now for a replacement.  Which brings us to the night before last. I am angry as hell because I had spent five minutes trying to get this phone to charge and failed. I am looking in the port and I notice it doesn't look right. The walls look rough and, using a staple, the back and walls feel REALLY rough and very hard. I get some lint/dust out with the staple and it improves charging in the sense I can get it to charge but it doesn't remove any of the hard stuff. It's late and it's charging, so that's enough for now. I decide it's time to see if that hard stuff is part of the connector or not. More aggressive methods are needed! I work in a biochem lab and we have a lot of different sizes of disposable needles available. So, yesterday morning, while in the lab I grab a few different sizes of needles between 26AWG and 31 AWG. When I got home, I got to work and start probing the connector with the 26 AWG and 31 AWG needle. The stuff feels extremely hard, almost like it was part of the connector, but a bit does break off. Under examination of the bit, it's almost sandy with dust/lint embedded in it. It's not part of the connector but instead some sort of rock-hard crap! That's when I remember that I had done some rock hounding at the end of last year and in January. This involved lots of digging in very sandy/dusty soils; soils which bare more than a passing resemblance to the crap in the connector. We have our answer, this debris is basically compacted/cemented rock dust. Over time, moisture in the area combined with the compression from inserting the USB-C connector had turned it into cement. I start going nuts chiseling away at it with the 26 AWG needle. After about 5-10 minutes of constant chiseling and scraping with the 26AWG and 31AWG needles, I see the first signs of metal at the back of the connector. So it is metal around the outsides! Another 5 minutes of work and I have scraped away pretty much all of the crap in the connector. A few finishing passes with the 31AWG needle, a blast of compressed air, and it is time to see if this helped any. I plug my regular USB-C cable and holy crap it clicks into place; it hasn't done that since February! I pick up the phone and the cable has actually latched! The connector works pretty much like it did over a year ago, it's almost like having a brand new phone!
    • That's odd, they are usually almost lock step with TMO. I forgot to mention this also includes the September Security Update.
    • 417.55 MB September security update just downloaded here for S24+ unlocked   Edit:  after Sept security update install, checked and found a 13MB GP System update as well.  Still showing August 1st there however.
    • T-Mobile is selling the rest of the 3.45GHz spectrum to Columbia Capital.
    • Still nothing for my AT&T and Visible phones.
