It says it isn't valid for in store pickup. I am going to call Best Buy when the CSR line is open and ask about it.

Called CSR this morning and as expected they were able to convert to in store pickup for today. Mentioned the gift card not being eligible for in store pickup and he said order number didn't change so I should still get it. Not sure if he knew what he was saying and I may have to fight with CSRs to get it at some point, but think they'll give in if I complain enough.

I am on the phone to order mine so I can just walk in tonight and pick them up. Right now we are having issues with the fact that somehow they don't even know that before today they had offered a $50 gift card with purchase...

Edit: According to records, I have been upgrade eligible since May 2011...

Edit: According to Best Buy, they only canceled one line, but not the other and it is being shipped and cannot be canceled. Now they cannot help me to order today. WTF is wrong with Best Buy?

Talked to Best Buy rep on phone

1) stated I need phone before tomorrow cause I am leaving internationally, current preorder hasn't even shipped

2) I offered store pick up, agent said yes

3) She will call store to confirm when open, 8 are in stock.

4) Not sure of gift card status, but she said it is likely I will get them
5) Patiently awaiting 10a CST for call back

Overall: Extremely straightforward and pleasant experience. As always, customer service is YMMV

I understand everyone wants their phone right now, but for me, I rather wait a couple more days (even though I shouldnt have to) to ensure I get the $50 giftcard. Seems like the ones that got BestBuy to agree to allow them to pick it up in store the gift card is not 100% certain.

I agree. I'll wait and take the guaranteed $50.  I'd like the phone sooner too, but everyone seems to be putting in a lot of time and effort.

I'm happy I'm getting the phone for basically $50, but I'll never order from BB.com again, that is certain.

My status now says: Order Status:: 1 item(s) Order in process of being fulfilled

Hopefully, it will at least ship today.

Success! I canceled my other order and just reordered both for in store pickup. I am getting a physical gift card mailed to me since they cannot process the email gift card in store. I have my confirmation number and email receipt from Best Buy. Total is $136 for two phones plus $100 gift card coming in the mail. Also confirmed that my Simply Everything plan is staying the same and no upgrade fees. Just had to put in a little work. Now here's to hoping that the LTE issue is resolved today..

I already know what i am going to use part of my Gift Card for. I will use it for a screen protector.

I already bought my case: http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Gloss-Frosted-Inside-Flexible/dp/B00EZWA838/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1383921769&sr=8-2&keywords=lg+g2+tpu

I bought the white version of the LG G2, so bought the above clear TPU case, to show off the beauty.

Now, to find a genuine leather belt pouch case with a soft lining. It seems all the belt pouch cases are fake leather.

What number did you call and do you have the contact persons name. I still do not mind waiting for mine to ship and I get the $50 giftcard. I would like to be refunded the $36 upgrade fee, since you were able to get yours upgraded with no fee.

I called the 888-best-buy number and asked for "post sales" department. I switched my discount through Sprint to credit union discount last month hoping it'd process in time for my upgrade to waive the fee.

I don't believe this has been mentioned in this forum, but do shipments from Sprint require a signature like they do with Best Buy?

Yes, the Sprint shipments do require a signature.

Yes, the Sprint shipments do require a signature.

I was just checking http://www.sprint.com/landings/shipping/ and it says: "Sprint requires a signature upon delivery of all Standard Overnight and 2-Day shipping orders".  When I check my tracking it says it's being shipped via UPS Ground.  Hopefully that means I don't need a signature, since I won't be home to sign.

Sign up for UPS My Choice. It's free and gives you all sorts of features.. automated notifications when a package enters the system with your address on it, signature waivers, rerouting.. it's pretty good.

" While you are here I'm going to need those TPS reports... ASAP... ...So, if you could do that, that would be great..."

    • Excuse my rookie comments here, but after enabling *#73#, it seems that the rainbow sim V2? requires n70 (I turned it off along with n71 - was hoping to track n66) to be available else it switches to T-Mobile.  So this confirms my suspicion that you need to be close to a site to get on Dish.  Have no idea why they don't just use plmn. To test, I put it into a s21 ultra, rebooted twice, came up on T-Mobile (no n70 on s21).  Tried to manually register on 313340, but it did not connect (tried twice). I am on factory unlocked firmware but used a s22 hack to get *#73# working.  Tried what you were suggesting with a T-Mobile sim partially installed, but that was very unstable with Dish ( I think they had figured that one out).  [edit: and now I see Boost sent me a successful device swap notice which says I can now begin to use my new device.  Sigh.  Will try again later and wait for this message - too impatient.]
    • Hopefully this indicates T-Mobile hasn't completely abandoned mmwave and/or small cells? But then again this is the loop, so take that as you will. Hopefully now that most macro activity is done (besides rural colo/builds), they will start working on small cells.
    • This has been approved.. https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/fcc-approves-t-mobiles-deal-to-purchase-mint-mobile/
    • In the conference call they had two question on additional spectrum. One was the 800 spectrum. They are not certain what will happen, thus have not really put it into their plans either way (sale or no sale). They do have a reserve level. Nationwide 800Mhz is seen as great for new technologies which I presume is IOT or 5g slices.  T-Mobile did not bite on use of their c-band or DOD.  mmWave rapidly approaching deadlines not mentioned at all. FWA brushes on this as it deals with underutilized spectrum on a sector by sector basis.  They are willing to take more money to allow FWA to be mobile (think RV or camping). Unsure if this represents a higher priority, for example, FWA Mobile in RVs in Walmart parking lots working where mobile phones need all the capacity. In terms of FWA capacity, their offload strategy is fiber through joint ventures where T-Mobile does the marketing, sales, and customer support while the fiber company does the network planning and installation.  50%-50% financial split not being consolidated into their books. I think discussion of other spectrum would have diluted the fiber joint venture discussion. They do have a fund which one use is to purchase new spectrum. Sale of the 800Mhz would go into this. It should be noted that they continue to buy 2.5Ghz spectrum from schools etc to replace leases. They will have a conference this fall  to update their overall strategies. Other notes from the call are 75% of the phones on the network are 5g. About 85% of their sites have n41, n25, and n71, 90% 5g.  93% of traffic is on midband.  SA is also adding to their performance advantage, which they figure is still ahead of other carriers by two years. It took two weeks to put the auction 108 spectrum to use at their existing sites. Mention was also made that their site spacing was designed for midrange thus no gaps in n41 coverage, while competitors was designed for lowband thus toggles back and forth for n77 also with its shorter range.
    • The manual network selection sounds like it isn't always scanning NR, hence Dish not showing up. Your easiest way to force Dish is going to be forcing the phone into NR-only mode (*#*#4636#*#* menu?), since rainbow sims don't support SA on T-Mobile.
