I'm thinking about picking one up as well. The idea of a curved, flexible form factor is intriguing, so I will definitely be checking it out once it hits the stores.

 

I like the thought of a phone with a flexible plastic screen that will be much less likely to break.  I just wish it was a little smaller.

The size may be a tad bit too big for me, but I won't know until I have it in hand. I could go for a phone larger than the Note 2, but the Mega was too big when I looked at that one. The LG G Flex might be just the right fit. Definitely like the more durable screen. I have dropped my phone on concrete floor twice over the past two weeks. I have lucked out so far, but it will be nice to have more peace of mind.

No still just snapdragon 800...

 

What I find confusing is that it is 299.99 with a two year agreement.. i thought those don't exist anymore or am I missin something... At least they are being phased out.

At a 6 inch screen, I might as well just curve the screen of the Nexus 7 and call it a day.

 

I find the Nexus 5 to be about the biggest I will ever want a phone, at times the screen just looks massive to me.

I agree. I had a GN2 too and it was too large as my main device. My N5 would stay my daily driver.

I am thinking 6 inches for me is a sweet spot I mean it's not as pocketable! But,I like my anime shows and books on this ONE max screen... I don't go dancing like I use to so I won't need as small of a phone to fit into my jeans lol... Can't wait to see the flex for myself in store though....

I believe yesterday I saw under network specs it said LTE-A support. And now it is gone. I wonder if they just meant Spark enabled

Absolutely, I love it to death. The customizations using G2 xposed is worth it plus development is picking up. I just like the fact the the flex has well its flexible.

i'm very interested in this one. i'm wanting a phone with a bigger screen and was interested in the One Max, but going to wait and see what this one is like since it comes out soon. hopefully its RF reception is on par with the G2 or even the N5!

This phone will definitely be one of those make it or break it deals with the US and Curved phones. If this phone sells well, I think we will see other companies introduce curved phones here.

Agreed.  I hope the LG G Flex does well in the US.  Maybe if LG can be start to become a threat then maybe Samsung will try to innovate again.

For one it was more steady and the pics came out much sharper on the G2. But the sound damn impressive. It is louder than the nexus 5 and the G2 put together regardless of the speaker being on the back instead of the bottom. It was not tinny like the G2 at all and playing the same youtube video from my G2 and the flex I couldnt even hear the G2 thats how loud and great the speakers are on the flex. Its a big phone but doesnt look like it thanks to the curved screen. I didnt try a pocket test though. I like the G2 UI better but all and all I would like to use the flex as my daily driver.

That's great news Terrell! Now that my area is LTE live, any temptation for leaving Sprint has gone bye bye.

I don't know if its because it was fresh out of the box when I used it but its actually kind of hard to bend the phone. It is going to be the display unit so I didn't want to damage it though so I held back alot of strength. One thing is regardless of it being 720p and not as sharp as the G2 video still look better and I love looking at videos on my G2.

Our LG rep came into the store in Madison today and had a G Flex on him that he let me check out. It feels every bit as big as what I thought it would be due to the 6" screen but it did feel really zippy and fast as expected. 

To me it feels like a curved G2 with a big display which is good and bad. I really don't need a phone that big but some people do, so I get it.

Personally I wouldn't use one but for someone who doesn't want a Samsung phablet I would recommend them to try this one out. We'll see longevity wise how it holds up to being dropped and what not.

      A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.

      Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.

      Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.

      Forgot to post this, but a few weeks ago I got to visit these small cells myself! They're spread around Grant park and the surrounding areas, but unfortunately none of the mmwave cells made it outside of the parks along the lake into the rest of downtown. I did spot some n41 small cells around downtown, but they seemed to be older deployments limited to 100mhz and performed poorly.

      What is the cheapest way to try Dish's wireless network?  Over the past year I've seen them add their equipment to just about every cell site here, I'm assuming just go through Boost's website?  What phones are Dish native?
