lilg740
Actually, if I am rooted and on a stock rom, will it unroot me?
puch96
So far the update is great. The only thing I notice is that it periodically drops my WiFi connection when in use. I'll wait and see what happens
mrrogers1
I get GCI and it is correct. I have not seen PCi. Cool cool, thanks for reporting back. PCI is the actual LTE serving cell ID. For us HTC folks we get the GCI and not PCI but Samsung, LG and I believe iPhone get PCI and not GCI. There is a very nice patch on CM that gives us HTC One folks both. Actually, if I am rooted and on a stock rom, will it unroot me? I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the update can/will even be applied because your bootloader is unlocked. The way it used to work is you had to oem lock first then you could apply. If you are NOT s-off, you'll have to do but that way if you want the updated radios. If you don't care about radios and aren't s-off, just flash the stock rooted rom once it's available. digiblur
I get GCI and it is correct. I have not seen PCi. Dang.. Sucks. Figured we would get PCI too. My coworker's bone stock S4 shows both PCI and GCI.

Went to bootloader and verified that I am still rooted and s-off'd.

Dkoellerwx
Anyone know what that weird icon is in my task bar? Believe it's an NFC icon. Apparently the AT&T ONE's have had that from the beginning.
Rocket87
Took me a few minutes to figure out that icon and shut off nfc Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

lilg740
What's so bad about the Gmail app? Just don't like the colorfulness of it. I just think its weird.
digiblur
What's so bad about the Gmail app? Same thing that's wrong with the new Google maps, Talk, Slacker, Sensorly, etc.. All going backwards.
Dkoellerwx
Same thing that's wrong with the new Google maps, Talk, Slacker, Sensorly, etc.. All going backwards. I understand maps. Never used slaker, I like talk better now. But I still don't see how the Gmail app was a step backwards.
leerage
Just an FYI with anybody S-OFF'd and custom ROM. If you are still running TWRP 2.5.0.0 (like I was), once you flash the firmware zip with fastboot containing everything but HBOOT, Recovery, and Boot, you will run into a unresponsive touchscreen. There is a new touchscreen update in the firmware. After flashing the firmware zip I rebooted back into bootloader to get into to recovery to flash OMJ's stock rooted. TWRP was unresponsive so I had to hold down power and vol down to get out of it. Booted system and it was unresponsive too. Had to again hold power and vol down til it quit flashing the home and back lights, let off and hold again to get back into bootloader. Downloaded TWRP 2.6.3.0, zipped it up and flashed through flashboot. Got back to recovery and now responsive. tl;dr Update TWRP before flashing firmware zip and ROM.
WiWavelength
Same thing that's wrong with the new Google maps, Talk, Slacker, Sensorly, etc.. All going backwards. Why do these apps need to be updated, even overhauled seemingly every 90 days? It is just change for the sake of change; newer must be better. Just leave well enough alone for a couple of years... leerage
I think they have changed the signal bars to actually reflect eHRPD or LTE. For instance, I'm sitting in my basement with 1 bar with a -86 1xRTT signal and a -112 LTE signal. If i get my One to lose LTE signal and drop back to eHRPD, i've got 4 or 5 bars with a -86 eHRPD signal. Anybody else notice this?

Jaggrey
I think they have changed the signal bars to actually reflect eHRPD or LTE. For instance, I'm sitting in my basement with 1 bar with a -86 1xRTT signal and a negative -112 LTE signal. If i get my One to lose LTE signal and drop back to eHRPD, i've got 4 or 5 bars with a -86 eHRPD signal. Anybody else notice this? Interesting.... I switched to T-Mobile and I noticed that it does this also. When it's on LTE the bars show the strength of the LTE signal and not the GSM signal. leerage
Any of you that are noticing this with the bars, are you running OMJs ROM right now? I'm wondering if the Qualcom Location service FC'ing is the culprit. Also people who are stock let me know your results if you are able to replicate. lilg740
Also, airplane mode toggle widget will not work with 4.3 and neither will LTE Discovery.
