I think if it were a tower/network issue it'd be constant on the call.

non rooters - new OTA should be out....

http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2280995

figure devs should have baked in shortly for those running custom ROMs.

So far it seems only Sprint is pushing the update out. I'm downloading and installing it, though I honestly haven't had ANY problems whatsoever with this phone.

If/when the EVO LTE gets the new update, do you guys think they will add sense 5? If so do you guys think it will be a lesser version how the EVO 3d got a lesser version than the EVO LTE?

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed the EVO LTE will get Sense 5.

So what settings do I need to have to connect to lte? I'm in an area with it and have not had much luck.

Under Settings then mobile data, the network mode needs to be set to LTE/CDMA.

Thats all? I have it set to that, i was just hoping that i would be on it a bit more.

I dont know if its the network or the One but i have had to cycle airplane mode every 10 minutes because it gets "stuck" uploading on the 3g but wont download at all and eventually drop the 3g all together leaving me with nothing. Its a pain when im trying to navigate here in Eugene Oregon on vaca. But when i cycle airplane mode it will get a normal 3g signal, for a bit..

Sadly, I would try a hard reset. Those are weird symptoms for the One to have.

I've never experienced anything like that with my ONE, so I would suggest either restarting (if you haven't for a while), or a hard reset. Otherwise, you might want to get that checked out.

My One has similar issues. I have done a hard reset and even applied the stock RUU posted over at XDA. I re-activated it and did the update programming and PRL, but the issues continue. The phone gets "stuck" on 1X or 3G and refuses to go to 3G or 4G even though there is a strong signal present. Additionally, at times (especially on 3G) the phone will show it has a good 3G signal but data will not work at all. Toggling the data almost always fixes this.

It may just depend on your area, but I have been very disappointed in the One's performance on Sprint's network relative to other phones on Sprint's network in my area.

Yeah.. I thought it was a Tucson thing because of all the tower work but its going the same thing in Eugene so idk what to do.

Either

Settings >> Backup and Reset >> Reset Phone

or

Power off. Once off, hold power button and volume down. This should give you boot options including full reset.

OK, and thats a factory reset? All the data will be deleted?

What is the best deal on the HTC One for a new line? I'm getting off of my parents family plan which will allow my sister to take my place and she wants to get one of these for as close to free as possible.

I know the Sprint store has a $100 credit for switching to their service which she qualifies for making it $100 there. Does this credit apply at other stores? Is there a better deal elsewhere?

Been very busy over the last two weeks but honestly my One has been performing beyond my expectations regarding 3g/4g reception(even in poor signal locations) and battery life.  No major complaints at all.

HTC One Works From The Top Of Mount Everest, But You’ll Need A Stylus

"Sponsored by HTC, Hughes’ ascent to the top of Mount Everest is part of Everest Million, the mountaineer’s effort to show the world what it’s like to climb the the highest point in the world. Not only did Hughes make a video call from 8,848 meters above sea level, he also tweeted regularly from his two copies of the HTC One (although many of his updates were just pictures of his frozen feet), of course, both smartphones were encased in sturdy protective cases as well."

If this is HTC's way of marketing it's a pretty bad attempt IMO.
