Was in Queens on Friday and connected to a B41 MM site. I believe it was one of the grey box sites on a pole due the the amazing signal. It was somewhere near https://goo.gl/maps/QSxZahYUC2C2 . After loosing connection to that site while driving east on Metropolitan Ave I saw a building located here https://goo.gl/maps/wYq3AoaJeWQ2 .  I believe I sawSprint Antennas for B25/B25/B41. Signal Check Pro Confirmed and I was able to hit 30Mbps with B41 and SCP showed a 3rd Carrier.  I don't have a screenshot for that.

Did anyone else see this tweet? https://twitter.com/guengott68/status/897867126756790272

Pretty cool to see what exactly is inside one of the grey boxes I see all over NYC and now I've seen in Queens.

Yup! saw that.

I believe it's Nokia flexi zone...

Connected to B41 for the 1st time in a subway station @ 59th Street . I know its existed in some of them but I have never connected to it before. You would think all the major station like 34th, 42nd, and 14th Streets would have it but I have never found it there. Every station luckily has the 2nd B25 carrier.

Is anyone having Google Voice issues?  Not sure if it's a NYC area problem so that's why I'm posting it here.  I'm not getting any texts.  I can send and I can make/receive calls, but nothing inbound.

Yeah I found the issue on repl.it reddit as well... glad it wasn't just my account.

(Lesson planning at 10:30pm using repl.it and my brain defaulted there)

There are COWs along Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn in preparation for J'ouvert and the Labor Day/West Indian day parade. It's not Sprint though as far as I can tell. I wonder if they'll put up some.

It's anticipated that there will be between 1-3 Million people in attendance so it's definitely necessary.

A week old, but these are the fastest speeds I've experienced with Sprint, by far. This was near NYU. B41 near me is bogged down to EVDO speeds or slower during the day.

Where is it that your speeds have slowed down? Have you reported it on my Sprint?

Far Rockaway and multiple areas of Long Island (technically another market, I know), I've reported poor performance in the past, but I can't say I ever noticed any improvements.

My only service this evening has come from a fringe B26 signal, from what I assume is a distant tower (I need to become a sponser to confirm).

Only problem is that my phone keeps switching back to a slightly stronger B41 signal, despite no data going through lol.

You should signup for a magic box, don't know if the sign up is still open, but you should also keep reporting your issues on my sprint app.

I have noticed that GMO's and also mini macros are being added in LI, so theirs that as well.

You can't sign up anymore but I still got one by emailing and explaining my situation to booster@sprint.com and asking for one. I don't know how often that method works for getting one but I got a response within a few hours telling me that they placed the order for one for me and that it would arrive in 5-6 business days.

Weird. I connected to a 2nd carrier MM SC with EARFCN 40142 but it only at 15 MHz BW. Speed is at 26 Mb Down/8 Up taken at 1:20 PM today. Located at whitehall st and water st lamppole. No Carrier Aggregation between BW: 15 and 20 Mhz.

Very odd, this was one of the first Small cells found in NYC. Pretty sure they all ran at 20Mhz. Manhattan has plenty of spectrum and 3xCA is already deployed. Maybe its an error on the engineering screen.

What device are you using?

    • In the conference call they had two question on additional spectrum. One was the 800 spectrum. They are not certain what will happen, thus have not really put it into their plans either way (sale or no sale). The do have a reserve level. It is seen as great for new technologies which I presume is IOT or 5g slices.  They did not bite on use of their c-band or DOD.  mmWave rapidly approaching deadlines not mentioned at all. FWA brushes on this as it deals with underutilized spectrum on a sector by sector basis.  They are willing to take more money to allow FWA to be mobile (think RV or camping). Unsure if this represents a higher priority, for example, RVs in Walmart parking lots where mobile needs all the capacity. In terms of FWA capacity, their offload strategy is fiber through joint ventures where T-Mobile does the marketing, sales, and customer support while the fiber company does the network planning and installation.  50%-50% financial split not being consolidated into their books. I think discussion of other spectrum would have diluted the fiber joint venture discussion. They do have a fund which one use is to purchase new spectrum. Sale of the 800Mhz would go into this. It should be noted that they continue to buy 2.5Ghz spectrum from schools etc to replace leases. They will have a conference this fall  to update their overall strategies. Other notes from the call are 75% of the phones on the network are 5g. About 85% of their sites have n41, n25, and n71. 93% of traffic is on midband.  SA is also adding to their performance advantage, which they figure is still ahead of other carriers by two years. It took two weeks to put the auction 108 spectrum to use at their existing sites. Mention was also made that their site spacing was designed for midrange thus no gaps in n41 coverage, while competitors was designed for lowband thus toggles back and forth for n77.
    • The manual network selection sounds like it isn't always scanning NR, hence Dish not showing up. Your easiest way to force Dish is going to be forcing the phone into NR-only mode (*#*#4636#*#* menu?), since rainbow sims don't support SA on T-Mobile.
    • "The company’s unique multi-layer approach to 5G, with dedicated standalone 5G deployed nationwide across 600MHz, 1.9GHz, and 2.5GHz delivers customers a consistently strong experience, with 85% of 5G traffic on sites with all three spectrum bands deployed." Meanwhile they are very close to a construction deadline in June for 850Mhz of mmWave in most of Ohio iirc. No reported sightings.
    • T-Mobile Delivers Industry-Leading Customer, Service Revenue and Profitability Growth in Q1 2024, and Raises 2024 Guidance https://www.t-mobile.com/news/business/t-mobile-q1-2024-earnings — — — — — I find it funny that when they talk about their spectrum layers they're saying n71, n25, and n41. They're completely avoiding talking about mmWave.
    • Was true in my market. Likely means a higher percentage of 5g phones in your market.
