I did play with LTE band priorities but it's not that because I've had no problems since I did. Im pretty much definite it was TWRP app SD card writable patch that's doing it to me. Right when it reboots the Sim card doesn't read. So I just wipe and unroot put sprint Sim back in and everything is back to normal. Don't know why I was even playing with the patch because it's for external SD card which we don't have. Hopefully you get yours worked out.

If you're referring to TWRP Manager, that patch applies to phones without an external SD card as well.

I know that's what I said. Basically I shouldn't have been playing with it because it means nothing to our phones.

could be. Guess we will have to rely on google to find an answer. Maybe that's why B12 was disabled. I am afraid to let my phone die now.. Good thing most stuff gets backed up to the internet. Still a pain in the butt to have to redownload everything though...

I think band 12 is only for T-Mobile. I notices when I change Sim cards from Sprint to tmobile it disables all sprint bands and enables band 12 and vice versa for Sprint.

New smart lock feature I just got it.7beb0f045f7810021f2487b822ebc822.jpg

How does it know it's on body? Is it voice recognition? I know that was rumored to be an unlock method in the new Play Services.

It uses the proximity sensor and stays unlocked as long as its on your body or in your hands. It even says if you give it to someone else it will stay unlocked until they put it down so beware.

I believe it uses the accelerometer to detect motion and keep the device unlocked.

Oh yeah, that is in my smart unlock settings now. That's definitely useful if it actually works well.

I was stupid, and enabled band 12 again. Phone battery died, when i turned it on. the Sim issue started again. In the process of reflashing everything. At least now I can upgrade to the E build LOL.

Sorry if it was mentioned earlier, I couldn't find it. Do we know the difference between D and E?

There's no visual difference. I believe the radio, boot loader, and googles internal code was updated.

Does the quick charge feature require a special cord?  I have the charger block that came with my Nexus but I don't think it is the original USB cable that came with it.

My Nexus seems to charge pretty fast but I don't see anything saying quick charge at all when plugged in.  Under battery it says "Charging on AC" which it will also say with high amperage adapters.  I saw a picture the other day of a nexus with a notification on it says that Quick charge was enabled so I am not sure if I am actually getting it or now.

I've never had a notification saying it was using quick charge. The easiest way to tell is to charge it for a few minutes using the quick charge outlet, then use a quick charge 1.0 (2A 5V, so like a tablet charger or a Galaxy S4 charger) or non quick charge (1A 5V) and look at the battery stats.

A quick way to do this is to wait until it shows the estimated time until charged information on the lockscreen. See how much they differ with the different chargers. Quick charge 1.0 is twice as fast as an old standard adapter. And Quick Charge 2.0 is about 1.5x as fast as Quick Charge 1.0 (ie 5W for standard, 10W for QC 1.0, and 15W for QC 2.0).
