I got a delivery at my office this morning. I will be an hour away all day. To get it I will have a 2 1/2 hour drive including driving home.

I guess I will get it tomorrow... Or not. Lol

Take a long lunch.  Should be worth the drive.  ;)

Lol.... If I could I would, However; I have keys and I can get it after I am done, but that brings me to a 5:30pm departure time and a 6:45 arrival time then an hour and a half ride home.

My struggle is I'm going to be in Orlando when my phone eventually arrives. I too shipped it to work. I might have a coworker ship it to me. How big is the box can it fit in a medium FedEx?

If you sign up for the FedEx service that notifies you when a shipping label has been created for your address, they may let you change the destination. In other words, you could reroute it to Florida I think. You may have to pay a ~$20 fee to reroute the package, but that's still cheaper than re-sending it.

I bought from the GP store on 11/12. I'm sure its going to be ups. Once I get a tracking number I'm going to attempt to reroute but I don't think it will happen since my work place is a hotel and idk if that raises red flags. I would ship it ups but we deal with FedEx.

Ahh, yeah that could be a problem. With both UPS and FedEx you need to verify your address/identity by answering credit report style questions. So I doubt your work address would quality.

That being said, if they leave a delivery slip you can use the number of that to reroute it I think.

Be sure to give us any RF performance comparisons between this and your old device!  :D

Coming up on the next episode of "This Old Device" with your host, Robert Vila...

SOOOO CLOSE I can drive to it...  I would if I could, but UPS said I cannot, its at a facility 30 minutes from my home, and its going to a different facility an hour from my home to be delivered tomorrow by end of day....  So close I could feel it.

Yessir

Damn...  I kind of want to stop by a Sprint store on my way home and grab one, but my wife would kill me.  Already bought 3 phones in the last 9 months including the iPhone 6 only 2 months ago.    but...but......  I miss Android.

    • Their offers have been crap recently, so this is just more evidence to not buy from T-Mobile.
    • T-Mobile Will Soon Prevent Early Payoff Of Phones Receiving Bill Credits If you finance a phone with T-Mobile it will remain locked until paid off but now you won't be able to pay off early. If you don't currently purchase your phones from the manufacturer here is another reason it might be a good idea.
    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and could potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.  — — — — —  Old permit for this new install expired but a new one was recently issued. It's gonna be similar to the site at 360 Forman St in Brooklyn Heights. Permit calls for only 3 antennas to be installed so I'm assuming it gonna be Band 2/41/66 and n25/41 only which is a bit of a downgrade from the now decommissioned full build that was on 871 7th Ave but in it's current state the nearest macro is a few blocks away and a small cell at Broadway and 55th is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the area so anything helps.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
