I've noticed that too as of late my battery has been lasting longer than usual.

What is enable auto lock? I assume this is not 8.3?

It is 8.4. But "enable auto-lock" is just enabling the setting that makes the phone lock after X amount of minutes. I have mine set to never auto lock.

I thought I was the only one that rolls like that. Makes staring at field test while driving possible, although dangerous if you ever set your phone down and forget to hit the power button (which I've done).

My developer account expired today and I'm still on iOS 9. I'm so scared my phones gonna bug out.

Yeah it won't bug out on you. The only thing that not having a registered developer device will do is not allow you to restore to a beta. You can update to a beta, but if you have to do a restore, you will have to go back to a public OS and then update from there.

Any carrier update is good. It means Sprint tweaked something with the way the phone interacts with the network, albeit band switching, signal/dbm display, or internal features.

You'll be fine until the beta expires, and that's quite a while from now. The betas only check the device's developer status when you first update and activate (and apparently in the iOS 9 beta it doesn't even do that).

Well whatever they pushed, it sucks. I'm sitting in my room on the third floor where I would usually have b41 and "4 bars".... And it won't even connect to it. Keeps bouncing from tower to tower and b25 and !26...

Been waiting for it to switch to b41 for 6 mins now. Nothing. Vince, want to email your contact at sprint and tell them they done goofed?

I'm having the opposite effect...I drove 26 miles from Rowland Heights, CA to Glendale, CA without dropping LTE once. This is the first time that's ever happened. Sorry to hear your pain [emoji31]

Hmmm. Well there is a lightning storm. I'm on b41 now but it's not my home site, it's the one down the street. Actually now it switched to b25 or b26 again. Maybe the tower nearest me is down.

I've experienced that before, my home tower is Clear B41 with no NV 1.0, and there is a Sprint B41 tower (fully upgraded sans B26) nearby that is about a block or two out of my range. The Clear tower hiccups at least 2 or 3 times a month, sometimes for hours at a time and I'm thrown down to EVDO or fringe B25 (which always works fine nonetheless, I believe from the upgraded tower). Not sure if that's network prioritization or a genuine problem, I use minuscule amounts of data (no streaming, downloading, updating...mainly email and Tapatalk).

I just checked to see if I got that update and I did. Based on what I read, I'm not updating my prl.

Yeah this carrier update sucks. I went from iOS 8.3 where I would put my phone in my pocket on LTE and pull it out on 3G, to iOS 8.4 where I would put my phone in my pocket on LTE and pull it out on LTE, to this new carrier bundle where I'm back to 8.3-like performance. I wanna go back! Lol.

i emailed jerru Williams. Someone got bAck to me and asked me for my account info so we will see where it goes. I mentioned some other people are experiencing similar issues as well.

I can't connect to the clear B41 tower down the road, but am latched to B26 from like a mile away. This update blows.

    • Since this is kind of the general chat thread, I have to share this humorous story (at least it is to me): Since around February/March of this year, my S22U has been an absolute pain to charge. USB-C cables would immediately fall out and it progressively got worse and worse until it often took me a number of minutes to get the angle of the cable juuuussst right to get charging to occur at all (not exaggerating). The connection was so weak that even walking heavily could cause the cable to disconnect. I tried cleaning out the port with a stable, a paperclip, etc. Some dust/lint/dirt came out but the connection didn't improve one bit. Needless to say, this was a MONSTER headache and had me hating this phone. I just didn't have the finances right now for a replacement.  Which brings us to the night before last. I am angry as hell because I had spent five minutes trying to get this phone to charge and failed. I am looking in the port and I notice it doesn't look right. The walls look rough and, using a staple, the back and walls feel REALLY rough and very hard. I get some lint/dust out with the staple and it improves charging in the sense I can get it to charge but it doesn't remove any of the hard stuff. It's late and it's charging, so that's enough for now. I decide it's time to see if that hard stuff is part of the connector or not. More aggressive methods are needed! I work in a biochem lab and we have a lot of different sizes of disposable needles available. So, yesterday morning, while in the lab I grab a few different sizes of needles between 26AWG and 31 AWG. When I got home, I got to work and start probing the connector with the 26 AWG and 31 AWG needle. The stuff feels extremely hard, almost like it was part of the connector, but a bit does break off. Under examination of the bit, it's almost sandy with dust/lint embedded in it. It's not part of the connector but instead some sort of rock-hard crap! That's when I remember that I had done some rock hounding at the end of last year and in January. This involved lots of digging in very sandy/dusty soils; soils which bare more than a passing resemblance to the crap in the connector. We have our answer, this debris is basically compacted/cemented rock dust. Over time, moisture in the area combined with the compression from inserting the USB-C connector had turned it into cement. I start going nuts chiseling away at it with the 26 AWG needle. After about 5-10 minutes of constant chiseling and scraping with the 26AWG and 31AWG needles, I see the first signs of metal at the back of the connector. So it is metal around the outsides! Another 5 minutes of work and I have scraped away pretty much all of the crap in the connector. A few finishing passes with the 31AWG needle, a blast of compressed air, and it is time to see if this helped any. I plug my regular USB-C cable and holy crap it clicks into place; it hasn't done that since February! I pick up the phone and the cable has actually latched! The connector works pretty much like it did over a year ago, it's almost like having a brand new phone!
    • That's odd, they are usually almost lock step with TMO. I forgot to mention this also includes the September Security Update.
    • 417.55 MB September security update just downloaded here for S24+ unlocked   Edit:  after Sept security update install, checked and found a 13MB GP System update as well.  Still showing August 1st there however.
    • T-Mobile is selling the rest of the 3.45GHz spectrum to Columbia Capital.
    • Still nothing for my AT&T and Visible phones.
