For some reason I've never been able to use the SprintZone app. What little of it I can see looks nice though! One of these years I'll get around to calling Sprint, but with the app being pretty bad in the past I never had much of an incentive to want to use it vs the mobile site in Safari.

Oh, wow. Another app that gets a makeover, and still doesn't support the iPhone 6/6+ screen. It's pathetic at this point in time.

I don't remember ever sending a single picture message (besides iMessage of course), let alone "6 GB" worth of them

6GB? That's whack! Something at Sprint screwed up.

Edit: I think they put the wrong thing on there. Mine says 4GB.

There's other things in this app that could stand to be improved from a design standpoint.

1. Tint color for UI elements. Don't use that iOS standard blue; it's so easy to unify your app by using that teal!

2. All of the sprint TV adverts are using a muted charcoal gray instead of black. Seeing black with that blue tint is rough. Teal & charcoal? Winner!

Why is Sprint measuring mms in gigabytes? Is that normal? And how many thousand mms pictures have you sent to reach 180gb? Yeeesh. :)

It's a mistake. The GB should not be there.

He's just sent 180 picture messages, 180GB worth is definitely close to impossible.

This really just showed me how easy it is to get through 4G data. I alone have used 2.1GB of 4G data. That's just me. Now let's imagine I was on AT&T with a 10GB family plan. Me and my whole family would've went through our data within the first 2 weeks. This is why I love Sprint and I will never ever leave them.

I was really disappointed when I opened it to find it still has no iPhone 6/6+ optimization. It's beyond pathetic and annoying and something I will never understand. Why update an app giving it a completely new UI and not add support to devices across the board?

I think Apple has a deadline in place for ios8/64-bit compatibility. They need to tack on iPhone 6/6+ screen compatibility, or you're pulled from the App Store. I have at least half of my daily apps still stretched to the max and looking terrible. Apps that are from massive corporations. Unacceptable.

The deadline for the 64-Bit compatability ended last month. The should add a Screen compatibility deadline. I think if they did that things would go a lot faster. But I think they're not going to that because of they did that they would probably lose a lot of their apps because most wouldn't meet the deadline.

What does it look like without updated screen compatibility? Do they just get stretched to fit the new screen sizes?

Yeah basically it looks like a 5s screen on a 6. It's pixalated and gross and I imagine it's worse on the 6+

I've owned both, and it's far worse. The expanded keyboard is impossible to type on. You start getting used to the normal size, and then open up a stretched app, and it's typo city.

What's your carrier listed as on Sprint with 8.2. Still 18.0?

Sent from my iPhone 6+

Yup. Strangely, my 5S has gone back to PRL 51104 from 55022. Hmm...

On the bright side, after 2 weeks of trying, my 5S is finally unlocked by Sprint. I have finally reached the promised land! Now to go sell it so I can get a 6 plus. :)

    • Since this is kind of the general chat thread, I have to share this humorous story (at least it is to me): Since around February/March of this year, my S22U has been an absolute pain to charge. USB-C cables would immediately fall out and it progressively got worse and worse until it often took me a number of minutes to get the angle of the cable juuuussst right to get charging to occur at all (not exaggerating). The connection was so weak that even walking heavily could cause the cable to disconnect. I tried cleaning out the port with a stable, a paperclip, etc. Some dust/lint/dirt came out but the connection didn't improve one bit. Needless to say, this was a MONSTER headache and had me hating this phone. I just didn't have the finances right now for a replacement.  Which brings us to the night before last. I am angry as hell because I had spent five minutes trying to get this phone to charge and failed. I am looking in the port and I notice it doesn't look right. The walls look rough and, using a staple, the back and walls feel REALLY rough and very hard. I get some lint/dust out with the staple and it improves charging in the sense I can get it to charge but it doesn't remove any of the hard stuff. It's late and it's charging, so that's enough for now. I decide it's time to see if that hard stuff is part of the connector or not. More aggressive methods are needed! I work in a biochem lab and we have a lot of different sizes of disposable needles available. So, yesterday morning, while in the lab I grab a few different sizes of needles between 26AWG and 31 AWG. When I got home, I got to work and start probing the connector with the 26 AWG and 31 AWG needle. The stuff feels extremely hard, almost like it was part of the connector, but a bit does break off. Under examination of the bit, it's almost sandy with dust/lint embedded in it. It's not part of the connector but instead some sort of rock-hard crap! That's when I remember that I had done some rock hounding at the end of last year and in January. This involved lots of digging in very sandy/dusty soils; soils which bare more than a passing resemblance to the crap in the connector. We have our answer, this debris is basically compacted/cemented rock dust. Over time, moisture in the area combined with the compression from inserting the USB-C connector had turned it into cement. I start going nuts chiseling away at it with the 26 AWG needle. After about 5-10 minutes of constant chiseling and scraping with the 26AWG and 31AWG needles, I see the first signs of metal at the back of the connector. So it is metal around the outsides! Another 5 minutes of work and I have scraped away pretty much all of the crap in the connector. A few finishing passes with the 31AWG needle, a blast of compressed air, and it is time to see if this helped any. I plug my regular USB-C cable and holy crap it clicks into place; it hasn't done that since February! I pick up the phone and the cable has actually latched! The connector works pretty much like it did over a year ago, it's almost like having a brand new phone!
    • That's odd, they are usually almost lock step with TMO. I forgot to mention this also includes the September Security Update.
    • 417.55 MB September security update just downloaded here for S24+ unlocked   Edit:  after Sept security update install, checked and found a 13MB GP System update as well.  Still showing August 1st there however.
    • T-Mobile is selling the rest of the 3.45GHz spectrum to Columbia Capital.
    • Still nothing for my AT&T and Visible phones.
