Sprint needs to spend 2018 chasing down areas where there is no ability to use data while on a Sprint device.  This can be due to no service areas or saturated data connections on Sprint's or their roaming partner's networks.  The "can you hear me now" guy should change into the "can you use data everywhere you go" guy.   I am not concerned if the coverage is Sprint's or extended LTE roaming as long as it has a reasonable speed to use VoLTE and use the apps that I use on my phone. 

I believe Verizon's focus for years with improving their network was first targeting voice coverage and after that targeting any area of the country where their customers were getting less than 1mbps download speed.  They may have since increased that 1mbps threshold to something higher and are now focused on small cells to fix coverage issues deep within buildings and between their macro sites.

Yeah. They need to do something VZW 1X will be gone come 2020.

I'd hope by 2020 our phones will be primarily using VoLTE for voice supported by USCC/AT&T LTE roaming. I rarely use VZW 1x anymore unless I'm in very certain spots.

If they did that they could pass att on LTE as att doesn't have plans to add LTE to H+ areas.

Right now they are prioritizing LTE upgrades on towers that are still WCDMA only. Until that is done, they are putting HSPA-capable towers on the back burner.

That's insanity, even theoretically. Will be interesting to see if they can even get anywhere near that.

With those speeds, my edges and head will be scalped bald, follicles gone along with any other hair on my face. 

6Gbps is insanely fast. This is good to know the true potential of their spectrum.

I'd rather improved coverage over 6Gbps, I'm fine with 100+Mbps on LTE as is it's just coverage that needs improvement.

Why do you want it so badly?  The downlink rarely will possess the SINR to use 256QAM.

I just know on T-Moble it really helped network reliability and speed. Also I think they should work on multiple band CA between 800 and 1900 then keep the B41 CA how it is...

What's the bandwidth of a fiber connection going to a typical site? Or does it completely vary based on location/population?

(Are we talking 1Gbps links, 10Gbps, etc?)
