B41 on a few sites driving home. Maybe tomorrow who ever is downloading porn or whatever will be done so I can use B41 at work again.

I got a sim from T-Mobile a while back when they were giving out free Sim cards. Can I use that or does it have to be from Walmart?

You don't need to do that, get a Sim in store or order one then register it online and you can get the 30$ 5gb plan

You can get the plan without going to Walmart by going to http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/prepaid-plans and then activating the SIM online. You might have to buy a new SIM from the site though.

Question. I have rooted phones before but it's been awhile since the Evo Days. I just want to be able to flash radios. Do I need to install a custom recovery? Or can i just unlock the bootloader? Or do i even have to do anything?

Unlock bootloader, flash recovery, flash the modem .zip

Just noticed I'm connected to B41. I am completely stock, no root or custom recovery. Most current stock radio. All I have done is enable the bands. I did not realize this was possible with the stock radio.

It's possible to connect to both B26 and B41 on the stock radio, however it is VERY hit and miss. Most people see better results on the .15 radio, but that doesn't mean it's the only one that works.

you only need to unlock the bootloader (which wipes the entire phone, including media)

you can flash the radios via ADB without having to root or use a custom recovery if you want to remain otherwise completely stock.

you can also temporarily boot a custom recovery then flash the radio zips without having to overwrite the stock recovery.

Manually toggling doesn't work for me at least the towers I use.

Cool I did not know that. I only noticed because I had a stronger LTE signal than usual so I checked.

The worst part of unlocking the bootloader...

Waiting for all the apps to download one at a time.

Maybe in the future android will be able to download multiple files at a time, with just still one installation going.

Hey guys.  I noticed that the premier sponsor prl thread is locked.  Does anyone know what could be wrong if i can't get qpst to recognize my phone?

try adding it manually in QPST by selecting the port the phone is connected to.

Has anyone been having battery drain issues as of late? In the past two days, the phone keeps draining when it's idle. I've noticed the biggest culprit is Android OS. Yesterday I had only SOT of 42 minutes, but the battery was at 52% when I left work at 3. Today it's gone from 100% to 80% with SOT of only 16 minutes.

I've tried uninstalling any strange applications, but the problem seems to be happening.

Any thoughts?

I haven't had that problem, have you tried wiping your caches / dalvik and rebooting?

Once or twice it went dead on the charger overnight. Other than that battery life is OK not great and I miss my swappable battery, but I have wireless chargers at work and home so it's not a big deal.

That's more indicative of a problem with the charger and/or cable. There shouldn't be a possible way for the battery to die while the phone is pulling 1.2 amps from the charger.

EDIT: Obviously there is also something draining the battery on the phone (probably the camera bug), but again, it just shouldn't be possible for the phone to use more power than the OEM charger can provide.

Before you do anything, try booting into Safe Mode and see if the problem persists:
