I thought the quote from the Sprint rep was 40% of POPs.

I recall 60% POP's. But I'm driving today. Maybe you can look it up and provide the link for us?

Miami just launched, but according to the lists here it's only about 40% done if I remember right. I am seeing quite a bit of 4g but there's still a ways to go.

40%? Are you talking about 40% POPs covered? 40% physical coverage? Or 40% of sites converted? All are very different.

As long as the Sprint PR person and article author got it right, the figure of merit is 40 percent POPs.  I would prefer a 40 percent sites threshold.

I was talking about 40% of sites converted.  That's the metric used here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/page-2&do=findComment&comment=129425

We were discussing POP's covered a few posts before yours, so that's why I wanted to clarify.

I've seen the 40% POPs figure show up in several articles now. How accurate that quote is... but I haven't seen anything other than that 40% figure either.

Certainly not the first time my memory has failed me.

Oops, sorry about that. I should have clarified in my initial post.

Can anyone here look at specific site info? I have a few sites that are just in standstill and was wondering if anyone has the ability to see what report was last on that site. Two have been in "In Progress" for about 4 months and the other one looks to have been updated but still sitting at red on the map. I know that the backhaul is right next to it just cant tell if its hooked in or not.

The site near my dads house has been in progress for about a year now.

You might try your Specific market thread within the Sponsors area, or the Comments Related to NV Sites Complete, rather than the NV running list thread.

And I see there's still no love for Upstate NY West (i.e. Buffalo market).  We're still stuck in 2G land...

Not only that, but Sprint has closed all of its brick and mortar retail operations.  They closed every Sprint Store within the search area, and none of their retail partners are selling phones here anymore.

I'm skeered... :(

Deployment is well under way in Western New York and they are already installing LTE equipment in the Buffalo and Rochester markets. Samsung is prepared to integrate sites with LTE the moment each has the appropriate back haul ready. Until the backhaul shows up, they'll keep installing equipment and integrating the 3G side.

Is there anyway to see a map of all the antennas in our specific market. I keep seeing updates per the acceptance reports but having a hard time seeing the actual change in Memphis market.

Look for your market here http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1377-network-vision-site-maps-all-markets/ and you will be able to see all current tower locations. This is all towers and will not show you what is upgraded or not. Just locations. You can then use it as reference to the sites complete map http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/517-nv-sites-complete/

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Appreciate that. Definitely figured out why I'm seeing updates on the acceptance reports and not much on my map. I've been looking at only 50% area of the market the whole time. Thanks again.

Is the date listed for "Current Production Rate Completion" the estimate for when all sites in that market are expected to be at least 3G accepted? I'm guessing that's the case, rather than it meaning when all sites will be 3G/4G/1x 800 accepted, because there's no way the Chicago market will be finished by the end of September at the current rate of acceptances. The percentage of sites live with LTE only went up from 77 to 78 since the previous update 3 weeks ago.

It is the date that if the current production rate was maintained when the market will have its last site complete with Network Vision physical conversions.  Not that every technology will be accepted, just at least one accepted.

It is network 3G/4G complete, It doesn't include network vision 2.0 as we call it around here with 800 lte and sprint getting back the 2600 from clear.  Chicago would be done in the end of september, but honestly I doubt it too. We will probably see 800 lte before all of chicago is done with 3g/4g

You can doubt it, but that's not what the date means.  It means that if the rate at which sites were accepted the past three weeks were maintained from here forward, then the last site in the market would be NV converted in September 2013.  The date is more about measuring the rate of production than it is about a date of completion.
