jlbattagli
I found my very first smartphone in the back of a closet a while back, and thought it might be fun to take a stroll down memory lane. We tend to all go ga-ga over the latest and greatest phone, but who has the oldest one? I'll start the bidding with this... From late 2001, if memory serves. It may not be Android, iOS or Nokia, but it says smartphone right on the case How long before someone comes up with an older smartphone?

Geesmill
I remember one of my relatives coming to visit one time and he had one of these. He was in school at the time and I keep wondering how he was able to come up with that amount of money. As I remember that Kyocera was not very affordable. Thanks for the stroll. Details are fuzzy, but I don't recall that it was too expensive (and I was kinda tight for cash at the time). But they do say that memory is the second thing to go...

Paynefanbro
I had an LG Voyager from when the OEM's started trying to make smartphones bytvthey were still feature phones by definition. I had to getvtgat phone replaced once because of the *gasp* resistive touch screen. Those would crap out if there was too much presssure. I remember when I got it back it had a new "OS" that came out with the Titanium Version. What's funny is that's in one of CNET's phone fights, the Voyages beat the iPhone. twospirits
I found my very first smartphone in the back of a closet a while back, and thought it might be fun to take a stroll down memory lane. You know, its funny but about 2 months ago I was making more room in the attic (to add more crap) and came across two boxes of some of my old cell phones. Some of which I completely forgot I had. That's when I decided to start a list of old Sprint cell phones starting from the very first one (Sony CM-D600S) to the latest one. Currently I have about 22 out of 346 in the list that I am having issues finding links to both the FCC and older Sprint site showcasing the phones. Not even Phonearena/PhoneScoop have the phone listed gong back that far (to 1996). Anyway once its completed I'll post it. btw, I am merging this with the older thread. jlbattagli
Found the charger for that Kyocera in a box of junk (er, I mean my stash of important spare electronic components that may come in mighty handy some day) in the basement. Had it on the charger all night; it still powers up, but shows no bars and any data that was left on it is long gone.
