  1. Disabling OK google everywhere helped a bit, the audioin wake locks seem to have stopped. Google search still had 2700 wake locks today. 15 hours on battery with 25 minutes screen on time and I'm down to 35% battery. I think I'm just going to wipe data and re flash the factory image, I don't know what else to try at this point. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. Around -45 dbm. The phone was sitting only a few feet from my router and airave. If that's not the problem, what is causing my audioin wake locks in google search? In that short time I already had 49 with 15 minutes keep awake time.
  3. Clearing the cache and rebooting didn't work. Going to try the .nomedia file in sd card next, this has been driving me nuts. I charged the phone fully, and in 90 minutes on battery with five minutes screen on time it's down to 85% already.
  4. Now, it's 1 hour and 37 minutes. But when I got home I had maybe 15 minutes of screen on time, with around 45% battery remaining and massive wake locks from google search.
  5. Any idea why google search would have almost 2000 wake locks or what the audioin is shown on wake lock detector? When I got home today I had maybe 10 minutes of screen on time and battery was down to 45% with google search being the culprit. Edit: I found something on xda about placing a .nomedia file in the sdcard directory, I'll see if it has any effect and if so try to narrow down what exactly is causing it. 6. Lately this has been the largest battery draw on my phone. Is this related to the new setting that allows google now to used from any screen? Recently I disabled location history, but I don't see how its related. Since turning that off, google search has jumped to #1 battery drainer over Google play services. 7. When you make a call while connected to an airave you will hear three beeps before the call starts. Also if you dial *99 you will hear message saying you are now within airave coverage. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. An LTE airave would be nice, since tri band handsets won't hand off to them when falling back from LTE to make or accept a call. I used to have an issue with that running the .15 modem on my nexus 5. I would pick up really weak b25 when it sat on my desk and ended up having several calls drop. The only WiFi calling experience I have had was with my friends M8 and I have to say it was nowhere near as easy or reliable to set up as my airave. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Found LTE coming from a newly launched site today. I was at auto zone in Fairmount/camillus area (west side of Syracuse) and noticed I connected to LTE. I don't know where it was coming from, but it was performing really well. -100 signal level and 18 down 5 up. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. All the clear tower locations in Syracuse show up on their wimax coverage map. Its not exact but you can find most of them pretty easily. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. I don't know. I had mine off for 4 or 5 weeks and got the notice in the mail just recently.
  12. If you leave it unplugged long enough they will send you something in the mail about not using it and to either return it or be charged the $130 equipment fee.
  13. Maybe it is using the testing sid. I set my EVO LTE's radio to SMR and the only thing it found was my airave's 800 beacon. Unplugging the airave had nothing showing up. Interestingly enough, even with the radio band set to SMR, as soon as it saw the airave's 800 broadcast it would still connect to it's PCS signal.
  14. I doubt it would take anywhere near 90 days to receive a refund if you decide to cancel service.
  15. I used to connect to it just fine, long before any of the acceptances. I would get around a -85 rssi signal even in my basement. Now without the airave it sits at -110 to -118 and then drops. Every time my nexus would make or accept a call while on LTE it would fall back to CDMA 800 while I was on the .15 radio. My EVO LTE would also camp on it.
  16. Today I thought I would try unplugging my airave since most of the area in and around Syracuse had some mass CDMA 800 acceptances a little while ago. For some reason, my Nexus 5 won't connect to any of it at home. It will try and hang on to a -110 connection or end up dropping altogether. A while ago when I was running the .15 test radio I used to connect to 800 every time I would drop from LTE at home to make or receive a call. I'm not sure what's going on or why I can't connect to it anymore but it's a little disappointing. I've been wanting to get rid of my airave since it eats up a device slot on my account. I thought it might be a problem with my phone but I pulled my EVO LTE out of the drawer and it won't connect to 800 either. Any idea what the problem might be, or how to even report it?
  17. I've been having blips in Albany appear in my Google Location History randomly and I haven't been there in years. Last week I left my tablet at home (I usually take it with me) and the random blips stopped. I also get a few randomly showing on long island. I'm assuming its the tablet since when I leave it at home they don't show up. This week I'm going to try testing by taking it with me but turning location history off. Has anyone noticed anything similar to this?
  18. I took a few from my tablet, but I haven't touched the phone camera in a while.
  19. Lately my stand by time has been terrible. The last two nights I left the phone off the charger and it drained over 50% battery. Any idea what could be causing this? The battery screen showed WiFi as the top user. I love this phone, but it seems to have more battery drain problems than I have had on all previous devices combined.
  20. Band 41 works very well, it's worth upgrading to a spark capable phone. Unfortunately if you want to stay within the iOS ecosystem, that means waiting for the next iPhone. Something to keep in mind though, is there will always be newer tech coming out with better features (like carrier aggregation). It's no different than when I bought my EVO 4G or EVO LTE. I thought they were great until LTE and later tri-band phones came out, and the same thing will happen with my Nexus 5 with the next generation of phones.
  21. My sister has been having trouble finding the panorama camera setting after the last update to kit kat on her HTC One M7. Was the panaorama capability removed, or just moved to a different setting? She lives in CA and I'm in NY so I can't look through her phone to figure it out, any help would be appreciated.
  22. I don't see the problem with this. I was surprised to find out they weren't already doing this.
  23. So far I've only seen Verizon's band 4 near the state fairgrounds. I don't know exactly where it's coming from, since I only catch it when driving past on the highway to and from work. It makes sense to deploy it there for events and such, but I also like the way Sprints deployment is laid out for more uniform coverage. Wimax had most of Syracuse and surrounding areas covered, I expect band 41 will be very similar which will be nice. I don't want to quote a large post, but thank you for the explanation about band 41, and the lower signal levels. It makes more sense now. I can usually grasp most things, but the inner workings of RF can be confusing for me at times.
  24. Another example, since I'm probably not being very clear would be with Sprint's band 41. I've seen decent speed test results at -138 rsrp. Is that because of the larger 20mhz channel size, or something else? What I'm inferring is the larger channel size would offer slightly better coverage over a smaller width carrier since it works at lower signal levels. Is that correct?
