  1. I'm in the same boat. I have three phones on a max framily. Two which have unlimited data and one other that rarely uses 100MB. I also have a tablet on the $5 25MB plan, and a hotspot on the $34.99 3GB plan. It would be cool to have a usable data bucket for the tablet, and more available on the hotspot but I would end up paying almost $50 more a month including employer discount. 2. The new quick charge spec is cool, but that's still really fast charging compared to some phones. My nexus 5 charges a little faster when plugged in, but everything else I have owned charges way slower. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. The capped plans have the same network prioritization language in the terms and conditions the last time I looked at them, just like Framily does. Not that I have ever noticed being throttled, I'm starting to wonder if they put it in there for possible future use. The doubled data is kind of tempting though, I was pricing it out against Framily myself. I still come out way ahead in price because of access fee's, but I would have a lot more data available to my hotspot and tablet as well as legal tethering.
  4. I don't know if this applies to other retailers or not. At Best Buy, some items will be flagged UMRP (unilateral minimum resale price) and can not be discounted at all. Dyson vacuums are one of the things I remember having this. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. Tonight trying to use the projector I noticed the light output would start to flicker after a few minutes while its plugged in. Unplug the ac adapter and it immediately stops. Looking at gsam battery stats I noticed it is pulling 2.8a, while the ac adapter only has 2a output. I'm wondering if they packaged the wrong ac adapter with this. Anyone else that owns one can you check the output listed on the ac adapter, and check the current draw while the projector is running? I'm wondering if I can find a 3a ac adapter to make it work properly, or if my livepro is pulling more amps than its supposed to. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. I work in sales support for Best Buy. The three big box and one best buy mobile stand alone store in my area had more total inventory than the third party Sprint retail stores (we dont have any corporate locations). I have no idea what Apple had at its own retail locations here. And again, its just my opinion but I think it might have to do with the 1000+ Apple shops Best Buy has inside their retail locations. 7. I didn't forget anything. The person I quoted was talking about how Best Buy had more stock to sell and I replied with my thoughts on the subject. Regardless of the number of phones sold, some companies had more to sell than othes. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  8. I was able to track down the site that was broadcasting b41. Its on burnet ave near midler ave. Only one sector was broadcasting but I was getting signal from it at shoppingtown mall and still managing 15mbps down. I was surprised at how far away I was still connecting. I checked several other sites and they all had 8T8R panels installed but none of them were live. I haven't seen anyone doing work on any of these sites but the equipment wasn't there a month ago. 9. You can use Google voice full integration and make/receive calls through hangouts using data with your Sprint number. It works really well on my nexus 5, galaxy tab 3, and pc. There are some quality issues when I use my VZW G2 though. I'm not sure if its an issue with Verizon or the device itself. Its not the best solution, but if you must have simultaneous voice and mobile data on newer Sprint devices it will work. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  10. It might have something to do with the Apple swas Best Buy has in most, if not all big box locations. Best Buy also sells for more than one wireless provider, not to mention has huge purchasing power on its own. I'm not surprised they would have more stock than Sprint. 11. Is usage considered screen on time in iOS? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. You would have been stuck with an added $15 a month service fee if they let you upgrade to get that gift card. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. My point was, android isn't bloated on its own, its manufacturers that load it up with crap that causes problems. Samsung is one of the worst offenders. A clean aosp ROM would use less space without Gapps, but even the nexus 4 which has poor hardware by today's standards will run 4.4.4 buttery smooth. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. No, bloatware infested skins the individual manufacturers pack in android are that large. 4.4.4 is about 3.5GB installed on its own and runs just fine on lesser hardware. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. I didn't see any work done or even the site equipment but when I was at burger king earlier this week on lunch my eHRPD signal was much stronger than in the past. It varied -60 to -70 inside. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  16. I can understand the $50 plan for choosing iPhone for life and leasing the device but it seems silly to also allow the discounted plan with easy pay or paid in full iPhone sales too. They should have done something similar to the service credit on mobile broadband plans for buying via easypay that anyone can get regardless of device purchased. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  17. Band 41 on 8T8R equipment in Syracuse. This was on the corner of Erie Blvd E and bridge st at the sunoco gas station. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. Call and ask Verizon to provision your ONT for Ethernet and you can use any router you want. If you have FiOS TV service, the Verizon router still needs to be connected to the MoCA network with your set top boxes for several features to work such as the guide and I believe on demand services. 19. With such a small sample size, I doubt it's very accurate. 13000 samples out of 4 million pre orders isn't even worthy of writing an article about. No one I know has heard of slice either. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  20. That sucks. He tried to bend it back and the housing cracked which also cracked the screen so looks like he will be eating the deductible to replace it. I don't want anyone thinking I am dissing the phone, but I'm surprised how fragile it is. It is a nice phone though, if those bezels weren't so ridiculous I might even consider switching. I wonder what aluminum alloy they used to make it. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  21. The 6 plus does bend pretty easily. I know some one that had his damaged. He kept it in his front pants pocket and it is already warped pretty bad, it still works though. He doesn't wear tight pants either, usually wears a suit. Has anyone here had theirs bend and have success with Apple or Sprint replacing it free? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. I don't think it would really matter, but if you're concerned it can be reset fairly easily. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  23. My Nexus 5 happened to be a Sprint retail package from Best Buy that was price matched with the Google Play store for me, so no included tool. My existing tool was far too big for the hole.
  24. Yes. The sim slot release hole on the nexus 5 is smaller than any other phone I've owned. I had to use a small safety pin, my traditional paper clip method wouldn't fit. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  25. The Sprint retail package comes pre loaded with a Sprint sim and doesn't have the sim removal tool Google provides with play store nexus 5s. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
