  1. I haven't had much 1X800 show up anymore, even at home the last few days. I do home delivery and have seen the same over the entire Syracuse area. I wonder what's going on. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. I don't see third party MVNO's going away unless wholesale becomes unsustainable or unprofitable.
  3. It feels just like when I first got it. One thing I did see is the available ram went up. On 4.2.2 it would sit around 770MB of 1.1GB, with 4.4.2 it's sitting at 692MB of 1.32GB. Also, something I didn't really notice before but the font on the home screen application text seems sharper/easier to read.
  4. Just downloaded the OTA update for 4.4.2. So far besides the white notification bar, I don't really notice any differences.
  5. When I got mine last year, they were able to look up how many dropped calls I had and sent one out after a 10 minute phone call. I didn't pay for it, but they told me if I canceled service I would get charged for it if it wasn't returned. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. When I set LTE only mode on, I get no signal where I have usable LTE on .15 radio in the -110 to -120 range. There is absolutely no band 26 or band 41 in this area, and won't be for some time. I'm not buying that its just the network that is a problem. Inflating the reading or not, I get LTE that works in a lot more places on .15 than I do .13. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Completely stock for the last few days. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  8. 4.4.3 with new .13 radio. So far going to get groceries and do a few errands I haven't connected to 1X800 but my PCS signal has been so good there hasn't been a reason to use 800. I work all over the Syracuse area tomorrow, I'll keep an eye on what I'm connected to then. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. No band 41 either. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. I'm camped on 1X800 at home now in Syracuse. I didn't really notice anything while out and about though. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. That might make sense but I'm having all the same radio connectivity issues others are reporting and Syracuse has no band 26 broadcasting at all. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. After spending another day with the update, I'm experiencing the same problems as many others. Most of the time I sit camped on 3G, resetting connection I will hit band 25 LTE and be dropped back to 3G a few minutes later. It feels like Syracuse was 6-8 months ago before they had more than a few towers broadcasting LTE, and definitely not like a launched city. So far it's looking like I'll be going back to one of the older modems but I'll give it to the end of the week.
  13. I flashed the update last night. Everything seems to work but band 25 LTE reception does seem worse. I used to pick it up at home and haven't seen it yet. Also dropping to 3G at work. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, I bought the nexus for its LTE reception but I haven't had any data issues yet on the new baseband. As long as data continues to work when I need it I might not go back to .15. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. Didn't phone prices lower shortly after easy pay launched? When I was in the store to change my plan, I noticed the G2 was down to $500 (back in February) and the nexus 5 was down to $400 from $450. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. While I would like for my xbox to consume less power, its nothing compared to the other things in my house. Both my tv and computer( when gaming) draw well over ten times more than my xbone. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  16. I haven't installed or updated anything on my own. Going home from work with 34% battery left and 10 minutes screen on time. I even enabled battery saver mode on battery guru earlier when I posted and it didn't seem to do anything. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. Battery is getting drained quickly again for me. 6 minutes of screen on time and down to 60%. Have barely touched my phone today. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. I hope soon. 1x800 has been available in Syracuse for almost 5 months now without an official launch. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  19. I don't know where this idea of a 5 GB cap is coming from. After re reading the article it just says that if you typically use more than 5 GB in a month, you are probably in the top 5% of users. I'll take this any day over AT&T's 5 GB soft cap and immediate 100 kbps throttled speeds afterward on their grandfathered unlimited plan.
  20. This likely won't effect me or anyone on my account. I'm kind of surprised they didn't already do this honestly. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Can the ota be taken if you have already flashed HTCs ruu's they put out for 4.3 and later bug fixes? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. I would love it if my wireless provider was going to build a tower in my neighborhood. The only risk I can see is if the tower somehow collapsed and fell on a nearby house. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  23. How does Spotify compare to Google Play Music? I've been using it for a while but wouldn't mind switching to Spotify if its similar and free for six months.
  24. Nice! I wonder what made them choose to launch Syracuse now. We have been mostly covered for several months with little to no activity. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  25. If you're concerned about having an unlocked phone that will work on Sprint, why not buy a Nexus 5? While I don't agree with Sprint's policy, a nice and fully unlocked device is available now and for a great price. No need to wait until 2015. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
