  1. This kind of thing has been reported in Chicago, Wichita KS, and other places shortly after LTE was first turned on. It did resolve itself within a few days, sometimes up to a week. Just remember, you are lucky that Sprint decided to leave completed towers open to the public. Verizon hid all their LTE cells from the public until they launched each market. Miami has not been launched yet, not even close, the signals will come and go, be happy you are seeing any work right now! I've still got months to wait.
  2. Bars don't give you LTE signal strength. Read this to see what your LTE signal strength reall is. It is likely you only have a medium to weak LTE signal right now. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/
  3. Good, it looks like the completed towers in DC have finally been unblocked! Or turned on, whichever it was.
  4. Exactly. Which is why what Sprint is doing is no small feat, and to do it in roughly 2 years is pretty incredible in my opinion. They are not moving slowly as some would believe.
  5. Then it's possible that the LTE signal is still undergoing testing. Since Miami is not launched in any manner, signals will come and go and may not be reliable for several more weeks. Once Sprint makes an announcement, it should settle down.
  6. I've had a number of phone replaced, mainly radio issues, without having to pay any fees. Including a phone I bought off of eBay.
  7. Looks like he has an iPhone, won't be of much help with Sensorly.
  8. They're not messing anything up right now. I believe they started LA about when they started just about all the others, maybe a little bit later. It just takes less time to get smaller markets, less complex markets done first. LA has got to be difficult to do with how dense the population is.
  9. Zip codes aren't very convenient for looking up a location.... city names would be better. Monroe, New York is part of the NYC market, and should see NV upgrades over the next several months. Different parts of the market are being upgraded at different times, with completion likely by later next spring or summer. So will it be at the same time as NYC? Probably not, but it should follow fairly soon after.
  10. Well, there's a reason it's called the sponsors map. There's not much more information we can divulge without breaking the rules.
  11. When panels are mounted on building, the RRUs are usually located on the roof or behind the façade of the building and you can't see them. However, I do not believe these are NV panels, so it's a moot point lol.
  12. What announcement of LTE? There has been no announcement regarding LTE for upstate New York. Robert made an announcement that work had started, but work has JUST started. It will take several months for there to be enough towers completed for any real LTE coverage to be available. Currently there are no towers with LTE capabilities in upstate New York. If you would like to see which towers have been completed, you can become a sponsor of the site. There is a lot more information available in the sponsors section.
  13. Those do not appear to be NV panels to me, unless you happen to be in one of the very few locations that get more than one NV panel per sector. Though from what I can see of the connectors on the bottom of the panels, they don't look like NV panels either.
  14. This has been an ongoing effort all year, and previous to that. It mostly additional backhaul that they are talking about here. There will be no EVDO revB. It's an effort to try and keep the network usable until NV hits the particular area. No real major changes, just additional carriers and backhaul where they can to keep up with growth.
  15. It seems slow, but in reality they are actually moving very quickly. They plan to have the majority of the network complete in under 2 years. What other network completely overhauled their network in just 2 years???
  16. Can I just say... that this is awesome! Haha! Great picture.
  17. For Sprint towers that have had NV completed, look for one or two rather skinny panels, plus on large panel that has 3-4 RRUs mounted on the back of the panel. I'm not sure which carrier that would be on the top of the tower in your picture. Feech's image is a very good example of a completed NV tower:
  18. Sorry, but I don't think that is Sprint on the top there. It looks to me like Sprint is the second rack. There should only be 2 or three panels on a Sprint rack (per sector) unless you are in a extraordinarily densely populated area.
  19. This is in regards to the ongoing network maintenance patches, or "band-aid" fixes that have been discussed on these forums. These are measures to hold over the network until NV upgrades reach any particular place, at which point these legacy patches will go away.
  20. I use photobucket to host my images, then just copy the image link to post it.
  21. If you check out more of the threads on this site, you will find that the reason behind this is that Sprint is upgrading whole markets at a time. Sprints markets are very large geographic areas, and include at least one major metropolitan area, and then all of the smaller towns near it. For example, the Kansas market includes Kansas City, but also most of northwest Missouri, and all of Kansas. So that means places like Pratt, Kansas get upgraded at the same time as Kansas City. Same goes for the Boston area, Chicago etc.
